"Lovehandles"

Hi, I've always been really skinny... and I still am, but I think I'm developing "lovehandles". I know that I have strong abs, but you can't really see them because of the small fat tissue I have on top of them. Can somebody please tell me what I should do to get rid of that fat? I know that sit-ups help... but they don't help enough, mostly they just strengthen the abs, which isn't really the problem. I keep on hearing that running is the best things for me to do, but I don't have a treadmill and I don't have money to go to the gym. I would just run outside but I'm temporarily living with my grandmother and she lives in a really bad neighborhood so I know she would never let me go out alone here. So I just don't know what to do... I mean, I can't just run around the house for 45 minutes, lol... wait, can I? :confused:
 
Running is just one of many aerobic activities that will increase your caloric expenditure and improve your cardiovascular condition.

I know many people who have had great success by doing at-home exercises with little or no equipment.

You do not need a treadmill. Get creative. Try aerobic style kick-boxing (this does not have to be traditional – create your own routine, kicks and punches, have fun with it) try body calisthenics or step aerobics. These are all great aerobic activities that will get results.

Don’t limit yourself to running. Find something you enjoy and be consistent.

and don't forget skipping ... great for a full body workout. You can also do a minor workout like situps, pushups, dumbell curls (milk jugs or surgical tubing for resistance works great) and don't take long breaks ... you'll work up a sweat in no time AND the muscle that you gain is the best resource for continuous burning of fat.
