Hey everyone!!

Okay so here's my story:

Last August 24th, 2009 I got fed up with being obese and decided to actually do something about it. I stopped with the binge eating and i began hitting the gym 6 days a week. While doing this and maintaining a tough 1500 calorie diet, i was able to lose 75 lbs in a little over 5 months. It was a rough process though, let me tell you! For new years, i started with a personal trainer three nights a week and since then ive put on quite a bit of lean muscle mass. needles to say, the scale is beggining to move MUCH MUCH slower but I am determined and will not give up on my goal. I want to lose 40 lbs more by the end of May 2010. I believe that with the hardwork and dedication I have that I will be able to achieve this goal!

If you have any questions or have any input please post!! :seeya:

Here are my before && after pics; first is from august 2009 before i started and the second pic is now

CONGRATULATIONS...YOU LOOK AMAZING !!!
You can see the confidence in your eyes (window of the soul they say)
I too got fed up 3 yrs ago and lost 270 so far but still have another 40lbs to go.

Wow, you lost so much weight your hair changed colors! hehe All kidding aside, you look great and keep working at it until you reach your goal. Congrats! :)

WOW! That's amazing! My goal is about 70 pounds and I hope I look as good as you do when I'm done. Congratulations!

Wow!!!

DANG WOMAN! You look like such a different person! The amount of work you're doing takes serious, serious dedication and bravo to you for digging in and doing it. Thanks for posting- this will help keep ME going!

Good job!! Do you mind sharing what your routine is like in a day and/or a week. We all would like to know...and your food balance?

I guess I'll rain on this parade a bit. I smell a bit of a rat here. 75lbs in 5 months is very, well, borderline impossible. you're losing weight at over twice the normal high end rate. Losing 75lbs is doable, but in 5months is unheard of that I'm aware aside from extreme circumstances.

There are other things too, facial features seem off. Skinny pic seems like a widows peak appears that wasn't in first. And nose seems differently shaped, actually smaller in first pic compared to second. And dimples in first pic, none in second.

course I could be way off base here, a few progress pics would go a long way, in which case i'll be more than happy to apologize and congrat on job well done.

hmm well dont know what to tell you. It might have been slightly easier for me than the "average" person because I would honestly eat fast food 5 times a day and be consuming around 5-6k calories a day (guessing, could be more). It was gross how much food i would eat with no exercise. So as soon as I cut my calories to around 1500 a day and incorporated an hour of cardio a day, 6 days a week the weight literally melted off. I began at 255.6lbs, I am now at 180.4lbs. I am 5"8 and still have a long way to go.

if you want to see more pics heres what i could find..you have seen the before and after, here are some that lie in between:

and for the record, i have always had a widows peak, i do not nor did i ever have dimples, and my nose is the same size it has always been, it just looked smaller before when i my face was double the size because i was HUGE. cmon now?

Well right now this is what I do:
My daily diet consists of 1400 calories/day, under 180g of carbs, under 40g of fat, and around 100-120g of protein. (100 calorie snacks are a gift from god btw.)

For exercise I do:
mon-45 mins cardio, 15 mins weight training
tues-60mins plyometric training with a personal trainer and then 15mins cardio
weds-45 mins cardio, 15 mins weight training
thurs-60mins plyometric training with a personal trainer and then 15mins cardio
fri-off
sat-45 mins cardio, 15 mins weight training
sun-60mins plyometric training with a personal trainer and then 15mins cardio

for cardio i usually do 30 mins elliptical, 15 mins high incline treadmill and I might throwin some stairmaster

hope this helps, if u want to know anything more specific just shoot. thanks for the support!!

Wow! I am going to say...you go girl!! I think you're awesome! I will look at my percentages and calories and compare. I also will take a look at my excercise routine and compare.

Thanks!

Way to go. We've a lot in common, though you're 1in taller than me! I started at 215ish and now I'm at 202ish.

I have a similar workout to yours, very similar calorie intake, fat/protein/carbs amounts, also take about 22g of fibre (as of this week) but the difference is...

I'm 41 and have had a hysterectomy so it feels like my metabolism has just frozen in time! :(

I'm thrilled for you and I can see a lovely bit of cheekbone! Waaay to go!

ur progress is awesum!! are u doing anythin specific for ur arms? i ve huge arms n dunno wot to do abt it

I do a lot of weight training, anywhere from free weights, the machines or plyometrics. I do a lot of pushups (spiderman) and a lot of lifting with 15 lbs free weights.

I dunno if that is what helped me specifically, but i think that in combination with the weight loss ive had so far that my arms have decreased big time in size.
