So to tell you a little about myself. I'm 26 yo male. I'm about 6'2". My parents both have hypertension and I was recently by my PCP diagnosed with hypertension as well and put on Atenol. I've recently have been in the process of losing weight by simplly eating healtier meals (portions) and doing lots of exercise. These are thing things I've been doing and exercise I've been trying to do....

1. I used to drink about two Cokes a day someitimes three. I totally removed soda from my diet. I also tried to remove anything with corn syrup. No vitamin water, sobe etc. I although can't give up coffee.

2. I used to eat a lot of potato chips, pringles, candy, cake etc. Generally every weekend. I've been about a month without eating any or purchasing any.

3. I grill all my food generally I'm eating smaller portions. (i.e. 1 chicken leg, vegtables).

4. I eat a lot of salads to stop my hunger. I put old and vineager dressing on them.

5. I've been doing jogging at least 3 times a week but I"m planning to do more. At least 30mins each of those times. I've also been trying to do crunches.

6. In the morning I eat exactly 1 cup of quaker oats with milk. I'm trying to do that cholesterol challenge maybe it might do good on my weight as well??

But anyway when initially chekcing my weight I used to be around 220 and it would fluctuate 220 -> 222 before the diet. Now my weight is around 213 -> 210. I'm not sure if that is enough of a weight drop? Could all of this been water...

Most of the time, your first initial weightloss is gonna be water.

But keep in mind 1 to 2lbs dropped a week is a good thing.

So, 7lbs by 4 weeks, is around 1.75lbs. per week.

Do you notice if your clothes are fitting any differently? That's a for sure way to know if you are losing but possibly gaining muscle back.
