This forum was a great find. I've learned a lot the short time I've been reading about everyone's experiences.
Since January, I've gone from 210 to 174 pounds. I haven't starved myself, but I used to do beers every day, and now that's an occasional thing. I watch what I eat, but don't starve myself -- so if I treat myself to some indulgence, I'm eating really good the next few days.
As for exercise, I tend to run on my treadmill for about 45 minutes, using various degrees of incline from .5-3.0 at around 6.3-6.6 mph; and then walk for 45 mins. with inclines from 5.5-8.0 at around 4.3mph. I was also weight training for a while, but I'm a new dad, and there's only so many hours in the day. . .
So, I feel great in that I've lost this weght in a way that is manageable -- I can sustain my diet long-term, and I like what I'm doing on my treadmill. I can also now start back working with weights for a bit each day, now that my baby is getting older and isn't as fussy.
But 35lbs off, and the love handles are still there. Are there any exercises I can start doing that seem to help with these on guys? I know there's no such thing as target fat reduction, but there's got to be something I'm not doing that I could in order to better this part of me.
