Losing Weight off Bum And Thighs

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to lose some weight off my bum and thighs, will doing this exercise program 5 times a week start giving me results in a few weeks?

Set 1:
15 Squats
10 Seconds Rest
15 Squats
10 Seconds Rest
15 Squats

Set 2:
15 Lunges
10 Seconds Rest
15 Lunges
10 Seconds Rest
15 Lunges

Alternating between each set a total of ten times (5 each) with 20 second breaks in between?

Is this all without weights?

I don't see it helping if i'm honest.

You need to do some cardio, get a good diet going and do a full body workout 3 x a week for overall improvement.

You can't target fat loss to any specific part of the body.

What Dan said. Cardio and proper caloric intake vs. caloric burn will only loose the weight off your bum and thighs... and anything else for that matter.

I wouldn't do that 5 times a week. I disagree with the above that you need to do cardio (although it definitely helps), but the underlying energy in vs energy out principle is a definite.

Energy in < energy out --> weight loss
Energy in = energy out --> maintenance
Energy in > energy out --> weight gain

Am I correct in understanding that you plan to do 45 squats then 45 lunges, 5 times (225 reps each, 450 reps total)? Even at body weight, that IS a lot of work and will burn a lot of calories. BUT doing it 5 days a week will almost certainly cause you to overwork your muscles, causing THEM to breakdown rather than fat, and causing a quad-dominant muscle imbalance. You don't want this. I definitely agree that full-body work 3x/week will probably do you well.

If you want to use the same pattern you've got there, maybe try 3x15 squats, then 3x15 push ups, then 3x15 bodyweight rows, and do that circuit 5 times, 3 times a week. It'll use all of your body, maintain a natural cardiovascular effect (you can't spend such little time between sets without having a CV effect), be more balanced and allow better recovery between workouts, which you'll need to do the workout successfully.
