Losing weight before summer?

Okay so I've been grounded until summer vacation (meaning no leaving the house for two months, except for school), so I decided I could pass time by doing some exercising and losing some of my excess weight in the process. It's been years since I last dared show myself in a bikini because of the fat my body has accumulated, and I thought I might try to get back to the point of daring use shorts and other revealing clothing again for this summer now that I've got lots of free time.

Any ideas on what kind of work out I could do to lose a few kilograms in two months? I currently weigh 59.6 kg (131 lbs) and would love to get down as many kilos as possible. Would 57 kg or less seem like an impossible goal (125 lbs)? Oh and I'm 169.5 cm high if that matters (5 feet 56 inches).

My family isn't the kind that loves exercising, so I don't have any treadmills or similar at home. In lack of any better ideas, I've been doing push-ups, sit-ups, some back muscle exercise that I don't know the name of, and frog jumps today, and around 60 of each for starters. I'm also staying away as much as possible from sweets and junk food. Might try to persuade my parents to let me go out jogging a few times a week, but right now they seem to feel very negative about it.

first, Welcome.

Second, you might be better focusing on diet over exercise. Yes, exercise is great but if you are really focused on weight loss, then diet does more than that. It's as much as 80-90% of your weight loss.

Look at it this way, 2 pounds a week is roughly 1000 calories less a day than your BMR. How much exercise do you have to do for even part of that a day?

Now how many things can you cut out of your diet that will lose weight?

focus on diet, it will help more than the treadmill.

When you say "grounded" and no leaving the house , does that mean you can not even go out for a walk? Walking or hiking would really help if you could make a provision to do that about 4 to 5 times a week.
You really do need some cardio somewhere but without any type of cardio machine in your home you will have to be creative.
You could get a good cardio DVD to exercise along with if possible, that would work.
