Hi there,
I decided in order to lose weight, I had to cut out as much excess sugar as I could. I was addicted to sugar and four weeks ago nearly I went to the dr. and I was weighed and I just got tired of being nagged about my weight and the fact that I don't want to go on cholesterol meds. I'm flat out tired of being fat and feeling fat and looking fat and being unhealthy. I have also had periodic BP problems. Thankfully I've never had diabetis problems (but had some hypoglycemia right after starting the diet). So I came home from the drs. office and decided no more desserts, no more lots of sugar, etc. I also cut my portions back. So a few days later I had some hypoglycemia problems and now I'm okay. I lost a total of about 20 lbs. in a little less than four weeks so far. This was not intentional, it just happened that way. I feel like I'm doing okay and I think I can keep doing this I am exercising a little bit more but not much. Maybe 15 minutes of cardio type workout once every other day.
Anyways, is this a really bad thing? I mean I felt like I had to do it this way. If I tried to gradually do it, it wouldn't happen. That's like a chain smoker trying to gradually wean off smoking - usually works best quitting cold turkey, KWIM?
I feel like soon I'll be able to maybe have some cheesecake in the house for hubby and I would also like a small sliver but I hope I don't go nuts with it here... Cookies - not ready for that yet <grin>.
Any elightenment is welcomed.
