Losing the belly- advice appreciated

Hey guys,

At the moment I would say I am happy with my body and feel that I am at a nice healthy weight..
Im 6ft, and used to weigh about 11 stone 3 lbs and after eating a lot more healthily I have come down to 10 stone and 4lbs, which wasn't intentional but has just happend. My BMI stands at 19.50 which as I am aware is on the lower side of the "ideal" boundary but still in a fine range and I am not in below ideal. I am slim and quite happy with that..

Well my problem is as much as I'm losing weight in other places my damn belly wont shift! I have a small pot belly that i would like to get rid off.. and I'm willing to try anything at the moment to just swift this weight off and hopefully begin to tone myself a bit better.

I do have a gym pass but I absolutely hate going so am looking into some other exercises to try..
I love swimming and haven't been for a while but I now have access to a free swimming pool and was thinking of going swimming monday-fri during my free periods at uni.. would this help tone my stomach and lose the weight from it? I do have dumbells (no bench) at home also but again find them boring however i guess exercise isn't supposed 2 start off been fun

I also seem to eat quite a few carbs.. i love bread and pasta but i do only eat wholewheat/wholemeal and am wondering if I dropped these if that would make a significant difference. I have started to lay off drinking beer and if I do I only drink a pint or a couple of bottles and then switch for diet mixers with JD/Vodka.

I don't want to loose any more weight really but I just want the stomach to go!

Any advice on the best ways to do this would be very appreciated
Thanks.

EDIT- Ive posted some pics to show my stomach as it is!

Just a quick tip its all about getting a low body fat% to show your abs. You dont look like you have much fat at all so maybe building the stomache muscles will help such as situps/crunchs.

Ps.Sorry im not much help just a small tip :)

the lower stomach is the first place we tend to store body fat-- and the last place we lose it from.
If you want that to be flat, as most of us do, you have to drop your body fat. There is no other way around it.
I would say swapping some of your carb intake for protein/fats is a step in the right direction, but you really need to have a good handle on your caloric intake and the macronutrient ratio in order to manipulate your diet well. And dont fool yourself, unless you are prepared to do endless amounts of cardio on a very regular basis, your diet is going to be your key to keeping your lower stomach flat.

Thanks for the advice.

Yeah im willing to diet but to be honest i do think i eat healthily. And i watch my calories however watch the saturated fat more... maybe I should be more keen to watch calories?

Well I hopefully made a good start today as I went swimming for an hour earlier and have just worked for about another hour :). I will try and do some weights later too!

I know I need to drop carbs however I find it hard to find other foods I like.. Ile check out some sites on the net!

If you want abs, you're probably going to have to start counting/logging your calories, otherwise your road will take a whole lot longer to travel.

Hey guys just to keep you posted on the progress, I have been eating healthy and exercising this week and have lost another 3lbs.. however my BMI is getting really low.. 18.60 now and im starting to worry. I don't want to become underweight however I can see my stomach has gotten smaller. Shud i carry on with the eating well and exercising.. or should i maybe start eating some more protein and fat?

Thanks Alot
