which ever one you can do to 45-60 mins, why you ask? As mentioned before this is due to the energy systems used by the body. you see after a certain period of exercise the body will start using/metabolizing fat for energy. otherwise it wont much matter, if you can do the harder one for that long then thats great. (note: there is quite a bit more to this subject than Ive mentioned) but there is no need to lecture you.
 
well im 16 yrs old, im 5'6'' and I weight around 145-150 pounds...I just have a huge ass lol so is it good for me to run 45mins every other day to lose my ass or am I already underweight?
 
tell ya what, go to a locol gym are ask your school coach if you can use there fat calipers, you might need some help. once you have your BF% you'll know if you want to keep loosing fat, a good average reading is around 8-12% for guys, let me know what it is. if it's fat your trying to get rid of then running 45-60min is what you want.
 
hey i was wondering, since I run and try to do weight training as well...i usually run 1 day, then work out only my upper body the next..I was wondering whether I should work out my lower body when I work out my upper body on my bowflex as well because technically am I not working it out the previous day when I run?
 
yes you should be working out both upper and lower body, although you might not want to push your self as hard on lower body if you find yourself getting too sore to run. for your goals you could do both upper and lower on the same day, or upper one time and lower another time. do mostly compound movment on that thing. I left out a few details but I think you get the idea.
