Loseing weight

It has been very heard for me to lose weight.

I have tryed the Diet pill Hydroxycut I lost the weight and I gained it back!!

Somebody please tell me what to do to lose weight.

Losing weight is all about fundementals and commitment, it's really not rocket science. Eat healthy and move your body. I don't know what you're doing or eating based on your post but I'd start with eating small healthy meals that fit in the palm of your 2 hands every 3 or 4 hours, excercise 30 minutes to an hour 4 to 6 days a week, drink a gallon of water a day and get 8 hours of sleep. That's a basic formula for losing weight, it has worked for me.

You can also: join a gym, get a trainer, get some books on nutrition (a good one that I use a blue print for my eating is the book 'Fire Up Your Metabolism' the Tammy and Lyssie Lakatos. That book rules!

As far as working out, a combination of strength training, long peroids of moderate cardio combined and stretching may be a good place to start for you. You can even throw in some interval training for fun. :)

Weight loss

I am watching The Biggest loser Tv show.

There are two teams on the show Red team and Blue team.
Blue team Fitness Trainer Bob
and on the Red team Trainer Jillian Michaels.

Jillian Michaels has this New book Called Winning By loseing.

Her approch to weight loss are base on three things.

1) Self - understanding your emotionl reason why behind your weight.
2) Science- Understand the proper nutrition and knowing the basic anatomy.
3) Sweat- Sweat, you gotta move you gotta excersies to lose the weight.
 
That's the catch when it comes to diet pills (well, one of them)- whatever weight you do happen to lose will come back when you stop taking them.

I like the idea of "self" when it comes to weight loss. There are usually a lot of emotions tied to our eating habits, and understanding them can go a long way.

Read around on the forums, there is a lot of good advice, and check out the FAQs at the top of several of them.
 
Jillian Michaels and The Biggest Loser are two great motivators for people. Whatever motivates you in a healthy way is a good thing :)

Any pill or fad diet will most likely cause you nothing but frustration over time. It may seem to work at first because you see the scale going down. But you already know what happens when you stop taking the pills.

I recommend getting on track with a simple and basic fitness and nutrition program. Hollywoodblvd made a good post with recommendations above. Here are my favorite tips:

1) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. Each meal should be 2-3 hours apart. Each meal should contain one protein and one carb. The first meal should be eaten within an hour after waking.


2) Drink a cup of water at each meal.


3) Rest properly. This means taking at least 48 hours between strength training the same muscles, and it also means getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Lastly, it means taking 1-2 days off from exercising per week.


4) Cardio. This should be done at different intensity levels and different session lengths. Consider doing a low intensity/long session, a high intensity/short session and a few medium intensity/medium length sessions.


5) Strength Training. Strength train each muscle 1-3 times per week. You should lift a proper weight and perform the proper amount of sets/reps for your strength training method. If you need more guidance or exercise ideas you can head over


All of the above things combined will result in fat loss.
 
Fitness Plan

Jillian book said the fllowing

I've never watched the show, but I heard from some experienced lifters and body builders that they put the clients through some foolish trails (extremely low calorie diets, not eating after 5pm, etc).

Weight loss

Today

I am doing mostly cardio and a bit of weight lifting in the gym.

Then if off to hit it with Jillian book. After I read Jillian book, Im gonna do her workout dvd.

Im not an expert on the show, but I've heard the same things. I do know that Jillian is either loved or hated. In February we are doing a conference together so I'll get a change to grill her more than ever. I'm excited.

Anyway, my thoughts are that the show itself is a motivator for many people. It may not be the best way to lose fat for everyone... but it's helping people too.

But that's off topic to this thread. :D

Workout day 3

IM every sore!!

Yesterday I was doing the Jillian Michaels dvd.

It was working on the Abs thighs, Shoulders, Triceps, Chest, Hips.


I am so sore!!!!!!!!!!! It hurts so bad when I walk.
 
I went to J&r

I went to J&R today it is a music store.

I went to buy some new headphones beacuse the one I have its broken.

When I went in to the store. I saw this huge fat lady. She scared the ****ing **** out of me. She was I mean huge she had like rools of fat around. She was like one of the people who is just going to drop dead any moment.

But looking at her I felt really bad. I just had like I god help me I dont look like that in the feature. That why I dont eat any fattning food. I think I just used to it I like stareing my delf in the mirror and see how much I weight DO I lose now.!!!!!!!!!

Can some body say to me. Is staring at my self and looking at my body a bad thing. Beacuse IM always like scared Im gonna be very fat.!

Ice down your muscles. You'll also want to invest into a foam roller or two and start breaking up the scar tissue and adhesion.

Get yourself some epsom salts and soak in a hot tub.

If it motivates you to diet and exercise, no.

I think Im fat!

It's not a permanent condition. You can change it, if you truly want to and have the discipline.
 
Loseing weight day 4

Yesterday I worked out by useing the Jillian Michaels Dvd. (Shape up front Edition)

I think I might have over done it a lot. When I normaly do the dvd I have no problem. Same as always sweating and burning calores. When I frist did the dvd it was very painfull as when I progressed and got used to it it didnt hurt anymore.

But this morning it changed complety I was screaming in pain. I coudent walk It even hurts to squat!!! :mad:

U think I should stop doing shape up front for now. And Just do the Jillian Michaels Cardio kick boxing dvd for now?

Please help! I am like wrapping my self with Ice!!
