lose weight this summer

i want to make this summer a big makeover for myself...i want to lose around 20-30 pounds and start working out every day....does anyone have any recommendations on how i can do this?

Hello good morning,

What types of workouts are you doing now, if any?

You must first start with a proper diet and drinking lots of water. Cut out the fast foods, jun food, alcohol(if any), etc.

What are your measurements now? :D

You keep asking the same question over and over. You had so many replies and good advice already. Either do it or stop wasting our time!

if you're referring to the last time i asked a question like this and only received one reply out of the 47 people who viewed it, then no im not gettin the best advice, and i seem to be the most ignored person on here

It's not that we are being rude. It's just that you ask the same question all the time and you always receive the same response. We cannot help anymore than providing our own opinions and advice. And we have done that numerous times.

What is your current diet and activity level?

I went through your previous posts and it seems like an avg of 4 replies per post.

Commitment is where it's at. If you can afford it hire a personal trainer and set up 3 to 4 mornings a week to workout. As far as food, I've lost a ton of wieght very simply:

1. small healthy meal every 3 to 4 hours
2. drink ONLY water
3. I don't eat late at night ever!
5. I take fiber, flax seed oil, multi etc...
6. stay away from processed food, if it didn't grow, run, swim or fly don't put it in your mouth. There's no Dorito tree. :(
7. ALWAYS eat breakfast!!!

I kickbox 6 mornings a week and hit the treadmill 6 nights a week, Sundays off. I don't eat after my evening cardio.

The formula I just gave you works 100% of the time! It will work for you if you do it. The trick is being consistant.

tonymclellan... not to persuade others from replying at all... please reply if you have something worth noting... but anyway... tonymclellan this person switched usernames a month or so back.

Like I said... no disrespect and please post if you have helpful words for HalfHeartedGoal. It's just that a lot of regular posters have already tried and we didn't get too far :)

Let me guess, you're from highschool or something right? I was planning the exact same thing, most teenagers really don't have the opportunity to have small meals to eat every 3 hours. My plan for summer is basically every day is something exercising my body, even though i should get rest. To me, sleeping every night is enough rest. So you should I try what I'll be doing, I would be playing basketball, tennis, running, jogging, jumproping, and some HOME weightlifting (like pushups). I was able to lose 20 pounds with my last "diet plan" but it took alot of time. I'm succumbing to poor self-esteem and peer pressure so if you can relate to me losing weight is necessary.

ive been tryin to get serious about dieting for literally 6 months now, and ill admit i really lack self disipline and motivation...now that its summer my plan is to play basketball everyday, prolly an average of an hour or more per day, prolly swim in my pool alot, and lift weights everyday, i have a bench so i have a few more weight lifting options than just push ups and sit ups....dieting and losing weight should be easy for me considering the things i can use, but i really cant stay to a diet very long due to the horrible habits ive developed over the years...to give you an idea of how bad i am at sticking to a diet, ive never stayed on any type of diet for more than 2 days...by that time i give up and start eating snack foods and lots of em...im also hoping that now that i can get more sleep each night, ill be awake to workout that much each day...ill try to keep posting with any progress to try and show everyone here that im not a total loss and i really am doing something...just posting my stats hopefully for the last time at this weight............ 5' 8'', 175 pounds, 15 years old

If you eat 6 small meals a day and only the right amount of unprocessed food your junk cravings should go away after a week or so, just hang on there. You will still want to have the junk but will be less prone to overeat as you will never be hungry.

Before I couldn't go through the day without some biscuits or chocolates and now you can put the most delicious cake in front of me and I can say 'no' or can take just one mouthfull and put the rest aside.

When you are not hungry and your blood sugar levels are stable (comes from eating the right carbs combined with protein) you don't crave junk.
