Lose inches

I know what to do, but have little motivation. I just want to lose inches, not necessarily lbs, although that would be good. I'd like to lose 4-5 inches by end of summer.....and I'll be working near a grill/ice cream place so that won't help lol. I heard walking is better than running for losing inches, is that true? I'm trying to begin a diet, but it's sooooo hard :(
 
The best waqy to loose fat and therfore inches is HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)! The other beauty of HIIT is it allows you to get the maximum fat burning benefit in 20 minutes 3 times a week.

Start with 100 yard sprints followed by a 1/4 mile slow jog or walk, repeated 6-8 times. Then add dificulty by sprinting up hill, or stairs. Add variety by replacing sprints with all out 30 seconds sessions of swimming, rope jumping, bear crawls, etc., anything that requires extreme effort!
 
All I live around is the country, so hills shouldn't be too bad ;)
But I want fat burning along with my overall increase vo2 max capacity..... ie better lungs :D
I knew all this stuff, but bah! Bah I say!
 
Well, my dad has wheat bread, 1% milk and stuff since his heart surgery, but we can't eat/drink it.......eh well.
