Burn More Calories than You Consume
The only way to lose weight is by burning more calories than you eat. You need to work out how many calories your body needs throughout the day and how much you eat from your meals. This requires some calculations and tracking but is worth it to see the weight loss. Once you lose weight, you can increase your calories slightly so you burn about the same as you eat.:coolgleamA:

Without knowledge of the human body, weight loss can be difficult to achieve. The problem with most people is that their diets are extremely poor. The Standard American Diet is nutritionally imbalanced.

In order to achieve weight loss, you must consume fewer calories than you intake. Therefore, you must count precisely. If you do not count, you will likely find yourself eating too many calories. The mistake people make is, they do not understand how to count calories.

It is not only important to count calories, but to count where the calories are coming from. A problem will occur if the majority of the calories being consumed are coming from proceeded foods. This is because your body needs ample nutrients and vitamins in order to function properly.

Whole Grain Bread and Biscuits

I always choose whole grain bread and biscuits as they are rich in vitamin B, iron and fiber. The goodness of fiber, whether soluble or insoluble, is plentiful. You're aware that constipation is a common problem in obesity and during dieting (with meat-laden diet). Fiber not only gives you a feeling of fullness but also helps to prevent constipation by flushing out toxins from your body.

Fiber also stabilizes your blood sugar and controls your food cravings as it slows down your sugar absorption into the bloodstreams. Thus fiber plays an extremely important role in your weight loss diet. Keep your body free of toxins and you'll lose weight easily and naturally.

Sorry, don't know where you are getting your info from, but green tea does not 'boost' metabolism, 'burn fat', or help you lose weight in any measurable amount. Whatever they did during the study, the green tea alone was not the reason for weight loss. It is healthy, yes, and if consumed instead of high calorie soda it might help you lose weight that way, but nothing else.

Also, Everything up there is pretty much general knowledge, and has been covered in several posts and stickies.

There are so many diet plans available, it is often difficult to choose which ones can benefit you the most and which can have the most effective results. It isn't just about the initial weight loss either - we all want to be able to find a diet plan that will help us sustain that weight loss as well. So what can the raw food diet weight loss plan really do for you? And is it as easy to sustain as you might think?:coolgleamA:

What does that have to do with the thread? Could you stop posting random stuff that's completely irrelevant to the threads? Otherwise I will delete those posts from now on.

Fish

Fish is a great thing to eat that can have a dramatic effect to your overall success. Try eating more fish like sardines, tuna, and salmon because they can help in a big way to help you get thinner. In these foods, you'll discover that they all have Leptin, which is actually a very powerful fat burning hormone. Leptin is what decides what you eat to become fat or what the calories that you eat to become energy. It's also great appetite depressant which can help a lot to helping you lose weight and not have so much of an appetite.

Everybody seems to have their own ideas on how to lose weight.

Yes, that is true. Some people think that taking pills and starving themselves, would you publish that idea as well? Some of the stuff you are posting here is simple nonsense - also, is there any point to this? There is no info in this thread that we already have covered several times before, and in a much more coherent way. Are you just trying to get your post count up or something?

Sardines, tuna and salmon. Some of the most oily fish out there, and if you don't keep the portions pretty small, you'll be way over your calories in one meal. Also, Leptin doesn't burn fat at all. It is a hormone that can decrease the sensation of feeling hungry, that's all. It doesn't make any decisions when it comes to how food is metabolised, or anything like that. Please fact check the stuff you're posting here.

Dieting is crucial to losing weight because irrespective of a persons' genetic makeup and metabolism, anyone who stops eating is guaranteed to lose weight. Whilst, starving yourself is a dieting option clearly this is not sustainable in the longterm.

Within the dieting option, the question is whether you should opt for a low low-fat, low-carbohydrate, high-protein, low-GI, small meals or any one of a many other popular dieting approaches.

Most people eliminate fats from their daily menu when dieting. Nowadays you can buy low fat milk, low fat ice cream, low fat meat and hundreds of other products with little or no fat. The truth is that you can lower cholesterol levels, get thin, and prevent diabetes by eating good fats such as olive oil and avocado. Fat enhances the absorption of vitamins and minerals into the body. A fat free diet is harmful for your health. Without fat, your body can not digest food.:seeya:

Eating a diet that is rich in healthy fats can help you get rid of joint pain and reduce high blood pressure. When you increase the amount of fat and protein and reduce the amount of carbohydrates in your diet, your body gets into fat burning mode. Studies have shown that this type of diet eliminates gluten allergy symptoms, regulates glucose levels, and helps patients with Alzheimer's disease regain memory. A diet rich in good fats can drive cancer into remission and improve epilepsy treatment.

Please post pubmed research which backs up your statements or other expert confirmation (eg Mayo Clinic, NHS, webMD, CDC, Harvard etc). While we have strict rules regarding advertising links and links to most blogs - we welcome links to certain expert sites to back up information posted.

Without such references - these postings are little more than opinions and ramblings of another forum member and really add little value.

If you cannot do that - at least tell us about your personal experiences and how they backed up each pearl of wisdom.

While this format is clearly adequate on the forum that you are copying them from - we look for greater credibility here.

Some of the postings have included rubbish which does nothing for the credibility of other postings.

As they stand - they would be better housed in a diary and all prefixed with "I reckon... " or "I have decided...".
