Loooong Journey...still being continued

Hey everyone. I have been reading this site for almost 2 years now, and I love everyones posts and they are very inspirational. To start my story until about 2 years ago, I was an extremely hardcore gamer(WoW in particular). So as you can imagine I lived a very sedentary life. After going to the beach in July of 2009, I saw my picture and decided CHANGES had to be made!!!! My starting weight was 291 back in July of 2009. By June of 2010, I was down to 210. Unfortunately after running on the beach everyday, I came back home to find out that I had torn my meniscus and had to have knee surgery. I had surgery in august 2010, and let myself go again. I got back up to 247 in late march of 2011 and I started working out again pretty hardcore at the begging of april. As of today, Im down to 221 and Im doing things much differently. I am focusing more on lifting weights and adding cardio in 3-4 times a week and I am losing weight and easily keeping it off this time. My goal is to get to about 175, so still ~50lbs to go. Wish me luck, I really think this time i got it!! Check out my pictures.

Keep up the good work :hurray:!I can see the difference in the pics by the way, when you did just the cardio you had a much loose skin, now with strength training and cardio you have a less loose belly fat and your skin certainly seems a lot more firm....So friend don't get disheartened if someone doesn't see a difference....:iagree:STAY MOTIVATED NO MATTER WHAT,NEVER EVER GIVE UP! Would like to know your dietary changes if any......

I know im in the in between phase so unless it's all gone i know some people wont see any difference.

You said that with just cardio you see more loose skin. Forgive my ignorance but how can you tell the difference?

My dietary changes really were that i completely gave up soda and any drinks with calories, water and unsweet tea only. I also am taking a supplement called Oxy Elite Pro and that has help me cut down my calories to 1500-1800 a day.

I can make a difference from the pics,I can definitely see a difference, with strength training and cardio I see you are getting more toned I guess......my honest observation :cool: , its hard to see any changes in your own pics I guess ;)
Keep up the good work guy, you have taken the right decision to cut out sodas and sweetened drinks,way to go :cheers2:
