Looking for support.

Hi. I'm 23 and I've recently found out how much support means. Especially with something as hard as losing weight. **shudder**

Just the other day at boot camp (don't mistake me for military personnel. Lord knows I'm not cut out for that kind of career. It's just fitness boot camp) I decided to stay the extra 30 minutes after class and do the run with some fellow boot campers. I was hesitant because I know I can't run well so my trainer made it a point to stay with me the whole time and go as slow as I needed to go. It was AMAZING! i never knew I could run that well! I "ran" 1.4 miles with a 5 minute run, 2 minute walk, and another run to the finish line. I know if I were out there on my own I would have stopped jogging after the first minute.

Anyway...point of the story is that I now know how important support can be. So I decided to give this website a shot.

I'm 23.
Female.
5'2''
about 155 lbs. (That's not exact because I'm terrifed to get on the scale)
Goal: 120-125

Sometimes runnign with someone e lse who's setting the pace- probably a little slower than you would have set for yourself makes you more successful... If you attempt running on your own, try to run at a pace where you can hold a conversation... if you can't then you're going too fast...

Welcome to the forum -and do get on the scale - as well as taking a set of measurements -it's starting point - who cares what the number is...
