Hi.
I'm Annie. I'm 16 (soon to be 17) and I weigh 229 pounds.
I have a condition called schizoaffective disorder, which makes me take medicine, Lithium, Lamictal, prozac, wellbutrin, and Risperdal, to be exact. The combination of medicine caused my already overweight self to balloon up to 230 pounds. I was wondering if anyone else here has battled with weight gain due to prescription medicines. I really need to know that it's possible.
:)
I can already tell that this will be a great experience.
Thank you all.

Annie .. I have and are in your shoes ...

I take klonopin, Geodon (which supposedly makes you lose weight lol), Effexor (cuts the appetite, has yet too), and lamictal ...

and Metformin for my metabolism, which does make me lose weight if I eat right and exercise ... whilst getting my heart rate up for more than thirty minutes, works for me

but you can do this hun
Start a diary .. I shall visit ..
You can do this .. I have lost 52 pounds so far ...

keep your chin up hun :)

cool, thanks.
That's so nice to be able to hear that I'm not alone.
I've been doing pretty well, but I caved for dinner tonight.
14 fishsticks and two servings of mashed potatoes.
Gah. I feel so disappointed in myself. :(
But I know that I can do this. Maybe I should get back on the treadmill. I don't want to be exercise bulimic though.
(I'm not bulimic, exercise bulimia is where you exercise so much on so little fuel you can pass out and/or have a heart attack.)
At least, that's what I heard, supposedly one of my sister's friends had it.
I don't know. I guess I'll go start that journal now.
