I'm doing something horribly wrong and i don't really understand it.
I was always a fit kid, then when i left school and started Uni i packed on the lbs and gained about 3 and a half stone in 4 years or so from going out drinking and socialising and eating takeaways all the time.
Anyway, i have lost 3 stone from my hardcore exercising and strict as hell diet but im very concerned i may have done a lot of damage to myself.
I'm 24, 6 ft 1" tall and 11 stone 5 lbs (159lbs) which on paper seems pretty healthy, but i have still have slight man boobs and a bit of a gut, and i fear that if i keep going the way i am ill be scrawny as hell and weight about 10 stone before i lose the belly (and i am not a scrawny build, infact i'm quite broad - big shoulders etc).
Another eye opener was losing to my 18 year old brother in an arm wrestle (what the f---?! I used to slaughter him about 6 months ago! BEFORE i started exercising) so im scared i've dropped a **** load of muscle.
So basically.. why the hell am i still so podgy at this weight and height
I'll show u guys my typical day during my dieting over the past 6 months;
FOOD
I only ever drink tap water, and a lot of it, throughout the day so i wont list drinks.
Breakfast: Large bowl of cereal (usually frosties) which is about 100g + semi skimmed milk
Dinner: Tuna mayo sandwich on wholemeal, 1 apple, 1 banana
Tea: 4-6 sausages in wholemeal bread, grapes, a 3rd of a cucumber by itself (yea im weird).
EXERCISE
I go running 6 days of the week between the hours of 8 and 10pm, i'm not exactly sure the distance i run, but i run solidly for 25 minutes at jogging pace around the block i live on a few times then come home, start the bath running and lift dumbell weights i have (15lbs each arm) while i wait for the bath to fill up (about 5 minutes of intense(at least it feels intense to me
) lifting). Relax for an hour or 2 then go to bed.
I have stuck to that pretty religously for the past 6 months, deviating on very, very rare occasions.
If anyone actually bothered to read that id really appreciate any advice or input, and if u need more information i'll do my best to answer any questions u have.
