Lisa's Journal

your weight will fluctuate a bunch during the week - it just happens like thaat sometimes... don't get too hung up on the daily number...

Dinner: Black beans, rice, lettuce and salsa-kind of a burrito without the tortilla, also a salad with red wine vinegar as dressing, and canteloupe.

I went to the track and did 16 laps. For 14 of them I ran one of the straights, so thats more than 3/4 of a mile running. I am trying to work myself up to being able to run longer. Right now I can run half a lap, but by the end of next week I want to be able to run a whole lap.

Breakfast: Zone bar- 210 calories
Lunch: salad with vinegar dressing- 200 calories
whole grain tortilla- 140 calories
Snack: Kashi cookie- 130 calories
Dinner: beans- 150 calories
raw vegetables with light ranch dressing- 200 calories
Total: 1030 calories
I will try to eat another 300 calories tonight- probably from fruit.

Breakfast: none-still sleeping
Lunch: spinach and cheese ravioli- approx. 400calories
Snack- apple, some rice crisps and a kashi cookie- 300 calories
Dinner: ranch style beans, brocolli and cauliflower, granola with fat free yogurt- 500 calories
Total: 1200 calories
Today I have felt really lethargic. I have this war going on in my head about whether I am going to go walk/run tonight. I didnt go last night.

Breakfast: none- sleeping
Lunch: cooked broccoli, canteloupe, strawberries, and 2 little cubes of cheese with 3 whole grain crackers. I am lost on how many calories the cheese has, so I am going to try to overestimate and say my total for lunch was 400 calories.

I went and had an early dinner at Panera Bread and I learned that my addiction to sweets is definitely gone. I also dont like eating really heavy things anymore, they just make me feel tired and like everything on me is heavier. My arms actually feel heavier, they are harder to raise lol. So at Panera bread I had black bean soup, portabella and mozerella sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie. (guessing around 1000 calories)

OOOOHH and I got a tennis racket. I am pretty excited about this as I would love to find something active for me to do that is fun. I used to play tennis when I was like 11, so it could be pretty sad when I step out on the court today, but I think it will still be fun.

I went to play tennis and did that for about 40 minutes, then I went to the track and I DID A WHOLE LAP I wasnt expecting this to happen until the end of the week, that was what I had set my goal for. I might start keeping track of how many miles I do and say that once I reach like 200 miles I will reward myself with something. I will start with today: 1 1/2 miles
Snacks: apple and some blackberries

Congrats on doing an entire lap today. You must have been off the wall excited by the whole thing. Just wanted to drop in and tell you that you're doing awesome.

Thank you so much funkyphantom. It really was exciting to know that my body was adjusting to exercise so quickly. I am actually thinking about trying to workout twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.

Breakfast: Zone bar -210 calories
Lunch: black beans, salad with red wine vinegar, and a banana- approx. 400 calories
Dinner: ranch style beans and this vegetarian dish they offered in the cafeteria that I actually liked: approx. 400 calories
Total: 1010 calories but I will have some fruit once I get back from playing tennis and running so that will bring it above 1200 calories.

I have decided on what I am going to do for my challenge with myself.
Goal: 200 miles
Reward: a pedicure- I dont want to reward myself with clothes because I dont want to spend too much on clothes until I am at a more reasonable size. I am not that into bags or shoes. I have only had 1 pedicure and I loved it, so I think it will work as a good incentive.

Total thus far: 1.5 miles (but I am going tonight, so this should go up before the end of the day)

Tonight I played tennis for 45 minutes and did 2 miles on the track...soooo......
Total: 3.5 miles
I was doing 3-4 miles on the track every night, but since my roomate wanted to start playing tennis, I find myself worn out sooner.

Breakfast: banana and Zone bar (310 calories)
Lunch: black beans, rice, some olives and a little squash (not as healthy as I would like, but i wanted something a little more filling today (450 calories)

Dinner: black beans, salad with red wine vinegar and granola with skim milk- calories- approx. 500 calories???? I dont know how many calories are in granola, does anyone else know?
so total for the day thus far: 1260 calories

I went to the track and did 2 miles, mostly walking though cause my left leg started to do something funny. I am going to take tomorrow off from exercise because I think my muscles need a day of rest, they havent seen this kind of exercise in a looong time. I dont feel like I have as much energy, so hopefully a day of rest will fix this.

Total miles: 5.5 miles

I weighed myself this morning and I lost 3 1/2 lbs this week. That is a lot more satisfying a number than 2lbs. My scale was being weird though this morning, it jumped from 248-250 but I finally got it to settle on 249 multiple times, so I went with that. I am going to put my scale away for the week and not let myself weigh myself until next Wednesday morning. It has really become a problem. I think I would be happier with the loss I see on Wednesdays if i wasnt weighing myself multiple times a day every day.

Dinner: spinach, beans, a little bit of tomato soup with 8 saltine crackers, and canteloupe- approx. 450 calories
snacks: apple and Kashi cookie- total 240 calories
Total for day: 1300 calories

I didnt work out today cause I am letting my muscles rest, they deserve it.
