Lightheaded....

Every time after I work out, I get lightheaded. I push myself to finish the workout even though I'm feeling that way. What's going on?!

FYI, I have a heart condition, could that be the problem?

What a vauge question. What's your heart condition? Are you staying hydrated? Did you eat? Are you breathing? Are you obese? How long have you been training? What does your work out look like? Do you have low blood pressure? High blood pressure?

I've been hydrated, I've eaten, unfortunately I have asthsma and micro valve prolapse, workout involves supersets, but getting light headed during the cardio!

It could very well be meds or a blood pressure issue. The first thing I would do is run this by my cardiologist. You may also want to post this question on the page. If you are on a beta blocker, they lower heart rate and that could be an issue. Also one of the side effects of ACE inhibitors is they cause blood to pool in your legs and when you stand up, you get dizzy.

I had a stent implant November '06 and take a calcium channel blocker. I do not have your symptoms, but I have heard of others who have. I have been on various combinations of meds as my cardiologist and I search for the best med applications for me. You should do the same.

I know when my blood pressure was high but I didn't know it that I got lightheaded pretty easily. I'm definitely not saying this is what's going on with you but I would have it checked out by a doctor and see what it is. Post back and let us know. Thanks, Greg
