Morning,
It's been now 11+ months since I've started my get-healthy lifestyle. Back then, I began my weight lifting like so:
15 pound dumbbell curls
90 pound assisted chinups
55 pound chest press
60 pound row
60 pound lat raise
90 pound lat pulldown
Today, one week before surgery, I was able to do:
35 pound dumbbell curls
Unassisted chinups
110 pound chest press
110 pound row
110 pound lat raise
145 pound lat pulldown
I mix and match free weights with the cybex room, and am pretty pleased with my improvements. My challenges next week, of course, will be to lift while in recovery (or I might even (gasp!) give myself permission to actually take a break
).
