Lift, Train, Fitness

Went to the seminar/workshop on sports performance psychology last night and it was excellent, normal these things can be very booring and rehash stuff that you have learned before but this was different. The presenter was the performance psychologist for the Broncos, the Australian Cricket team and a whole heap of Olympic athletes. I learned a lot and it was especially helpful learning about the pitfalls to avoid when moving an athlete from domestic competition (Nationals) up to international competitions and representing Australia. A lot of the information was the complete opposite of what you would get in traditional psychology.

I have ordered a copy of a book written by the workshop presenter, a lot of his ideas are good, not only for sport but I can see them working for weight loss as well. Getting the process right mentally may just be as important as diet and exercise.

it has been a lazy day today, coaching at the gym this arvo then 4-5 hours role playing at a friends place. I am expecting a busier than normal day at football tomorrow, both high schools have their cross country runs today for students to try an qualify for regionals, and if everything goes as as usual I will have a lot of young football players wanting me to fix their pain/injuries from the run so they can play their games tomorrow. This also translates to more injuries on the field as player try to push tired bodies past their limit. As it is I have the captain of my sons A grade team needing work to fix his shin splints which will be a long painful session on the table.

feeling extremely down today, mums cancer has now moved into the lungs, surgeon said she would not survive further surgery, care is moving from fighting the cancer to providing the best quality of life for the next few months or however long it will be. hopefully coaching today will take my mind of things for a couple of hours. not weight related but sometimes have to let things out.

I am so sorry about your Mum Tru. Thank you for telling us. I can imagine your Mum will be more worried about how everyone else is coping, than worrying about herself. I know there is nothing I can say that will really help & all I can do is send you lots of love. Take care of yourself Tru, xo Cate

feeling a bit better tonight, tired after a busy day and 2 ambo calls for players, but at least I should be able to get a good night sleep.

going to a gardening expo tomorrow with a friend before we head to chess where our hubby's will be playing as part of the local club they started.

with all the recent stress etc. my eating has been way of track, it is time that I get back to strict tracking.

coaching football this arvo

eating has been limited today, had poor sleep last night due to dental pain, feels like my wisdom teeth are causing problems again, should be ok again in a few days. Received my official coaches uniform in the mail, hubby thinks it looks good on me, although I am not that keen wearing a lot of green, the dark green with gold trim and gold Australian powerlifting logo's don't look to bad lol going to have to get a photo

I would love to see that photo Tru. I don't wear green, but I know it suits me. My school uniform was bottle green (with a funny bowler hat & tie in winter & a straw hat in summer :( )You must be so proud! Hope you can get that tooth pain sorted soon.

While I was waiting in the car for my youngest son to finish football training last night, it was interesting listening to him become a role model for his much older team mate, they were all asking him for training and diet advice. impresive when most late 20s early 30s men have no respect for what a 17 year old may think or know and even better to hear him helping his team mates with confidence that you do not often see in Autistic kids.

Catching up on everyone's diary...just want to say, while I was reading through yours, I said a small prayer and sent my positive thoughts and energy to you and your whole family Tru, specially your mom.

Your diligence and hard work are always impressive...keep up the good work darling!! We sometimes get side-tracked with our food choices, but that's normal, life stresses and all...you seem to be doing exceptionally well.

Xoxox

Thanks Cali

currently sitting at 67 grams of protein and 12 grams of carbs, still need to fit some more protein in tonight. Finished coaching this evening but had to get a chuckle over the way some moron loaded the standing calf raise lol, they loaded plates onto the hand rests, and committed the sin of leaving the machine loaded. Some people have no common sense.

sitting at 90.4 grams of protein for the day, short by 9.6 grams so not bad, still want to get back to nailing macro's spot on
