Lift, Train, Fitness

Get well soon Tru, and no shouting at the NRL over the weekend!

My hubby would say "Go Broncos" if he was on this thread... but I support the Warriors (poor me)!

My team is 14- 0 up so far, keep channel flicking between Aus V NZ in the T20 and Parra V Buldogs

Go Parra :D

NZ played well, hubby was happy no matter who won (he is a tri citizen Aus/NZ/UK)

I wish I could get the last of this flu to go away, I went in for work last night but just before my shift was a massive thunder storm, at least 3 bolts of lightening hit the fields near the player benches where all the players were sheltering.

Feeling a lot better today, spent the arvo coaching football, and only one more coaching session before powerlifting comp on Sunday.

It has been hard work with the flu but have been keeping up with my 30 day blogging challenge.

Food wise I have been ok, not perfect but ok
Exercise/Training has been nil while sick, but looking to start a new training cycle after comp, now that injury and illness have settled down.

only a couple of days till powerlifting comp, my eating has been good, I have to set a good example lol

I was a bit stuck for blog ideas yesterday so posted a powerlifting equipment check list

why do I get more nervous as a coach than as an athlete lol

feeling good, all prepped for tomorrow, early night tonight, glad it is not me stripping down to be weighed by a judge tomorrow.

2 of sons lifts, did not get squat video but he lifted

Squat 115 kg, Bench 75 kg, Deadlift 130 kg all at bodyweight 57 kg, and has qualified for Asia/Oceania Championships in NZ

quiet day, food ok, exercise - coaching under 7s

still fighting my way through the 30 day blog challenge, leaving so sick of writing that I don't have the energy to wrote much in here but as usual, still willing to answer questions

going to be a long day tomorrow, game day coaching in the morning, On duty working Sports Medicine from the end of the game coaching until late arvo, then need to stay at the ground untill hubby has played his game (Div 2) and son has played his 2 games (Div 2 then Div 1)

Cooked up some crackle to snack on while working, although my eating has been ok it has not been perfect and it looks like their are a few more things I need to cut out, as it has been worked out what the new rash is on my hands so I need to cut out the foods that often cause that particular rash, so in addition to no wheat, no food containing substances derived from wheat (Maltodextrin etc) no cherries, no citrus. I now must include no chocolate, no tomatoes, no pineapple and no food packaged in tins. I also may have to make sure my food is not cooked in stainless steel pans if cutting out the extra food does not help.

And people wonder why I follow a keto way of eating lol

Eat meat drink water !

Yesterday was full on, I am a wee bit sunburnt lol, and I had forgotten what it was like to deal with swarms of parents. and why do parents not understand that I cannot wave a magic wand to stop 6/7 year olds getting into a fight ? I can stop fights when they happen, as a coach I can talk to my players about hitting others, I can sit my own players on the sideline if they break the rules, but as a coach I cannot stop a 6 year old on another team in the middle of a pack of 7 other 6/7 year olds chasing a ball for hitting (accidental probably, deliberate possible, no way to tell). This is going to be such a fun season lol

today I get to relax at roleplaying then later tonight I have to sit down and prepare a few lifting programs for the next few months.

Food yesterday was spot on, exercise - I was on my feet for 12 hours including some jogging and some full pace sprinting.

Hmm, almost a week since I posted in here, I have been doing more posting in other forum sections.

Signed up to attend a seminar for sports psychology next month which should just be a refresher but it should be interesting.

I always check your diary Tru. All ok is always good. The seminar sounds like it would be interesting.

much cooler today so coaching football should be much more pleasant. I have also been given an assistant coach to train, it is always good to see young people put back into the sport which has given them a lot, he should do ok with the actual training of the kids, it is the challenge of dealing with pushy and sometimes obnoxious parents which takes time to master, especially for teens who have been expected to respect adults their whole life and are not used to being the one in charge of those much older than themselves.

It is a horrible aspect of organised sport which happens much too often, young referees and coaches cop far too much abuse from those who should be setting a good example of proper behaviour. If we don't have young refs and coaches coming through the system then we end up with no ref and no coaches, which means no sports for kids and adults alike because most parents are either unable or unwilling to step up to the mark and be involved in sports which benefit their kids.
