How did your injury happen, Tru, and how long have you had it? I think I have something similar in my knee right now.
Age and a lifetime if contact sports has a lot to answer for lol
I have arthritis in my hips and neck. The arthritic deposits in my hip irritate the bursa making it inflamed and that is where the hip pain comes from, not the arthritis directly. When there is a joint which is not functioning correctly, that dysfunction will cause pain in other nearby areas despite there being no injury in that location. Hip problems will refer pain to the lower back or the knee, in my case the left knee caused by the dysfunction in my left hip.
I also have calcification in both shoulders, however in the left shoulder the calcification irritated the bursa and the joint capsule, causing bursitis and adhesive capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder). The bursa I get injected under ultrasound guidance, the joint capsule had to be injected in a CT scanner. Expected recovery time for frozen shoulder is 2+ years and may never regain full shoulder mobility despite my best efforts with physio and a lot of shoulder rehab. Shoulder problem can also refer pain to the elbows however my elbows are currently ok
My right knee may or may not have calcification building up in it again. I had the calcification surgically removed over 20 years ago after I tore all of the ligaments in it (Training for Olympic selection trials for Judo) but is currently not painful however it is beginning to lock up occasionally again.
Over time I have had all the usual sports injuries, sprains, torn muscles, dislocated joints, concussions, broken fingers etc.
I am sure I have some memory issues from being knocked out playing sport (Pile driver head first into the boards of the ice rink) and my 20 year old son has memory issues after being knocked out playing baseball.
