Last straw and need help. Im only 15 and tired of this fat.

Im 15 years old. Im 5'5 or 5'6 and weight about 180lbs. Im tired of being this way and I need to lose 40lbs in about 4 months.:eek: I can't believe I let my self get this way. Please if anyone can help please do.:(........
 
Hi and welcome. My daughter is also 15 and overweight. She is 5'9" and weighs 230. She's working hard on it and has lost about 20 pounds so far. I'm wondering why do you say in 4 months? Keep in mind, you need to concentrate on getting healthy, not just losing weight. I do suggest that you visit your doctor and set up a plan. At your age it's very important to maintain the proper nutritional balance for you. You don't want to do anything that will had a bad effect on your body's growth. Your bone and muscle structures have not finished growing. We will be here to support you any way we can, but I still stress the importance of getting medical advice as well.
 
I agree with April, you don't want to malnutrition yourself or anything because at this point in your life it could lead to improper development and growth.

Also, I should say, its definitely possible to lose 40 lbs in 4 months healthily, but you have to be really committed to it and really strict with yourself. That means NO cheating at all! And I remember when I was 15, I certainly did not have the self-control for that kind of thing.

April, I believe she has a goal of 4 months because that's around the same time of year as Proms and other "big" events in the school year (though I think March is a little early, I thought they were around May and into June). Maybe there's another event?
 
Hi hun, sounds like your getting some good advice! You really do need to check w/ a doctor and see what he/she suggests. You can do it though, it just takes some real focus and determination! Good luck!
