lack of motivation

I used to work out very frequently and eat like a health nut. I watched everting. When my boyfriend and I broke up I lost all motivation.
Now I wake up in the middle of the night and eat. I could eat a whole box of crackers in one sitting or a box of cereal in two days.
My membership expired and have a treadmill downstairs. I am even unmotivated to exercise. Don't fit into any more of my cute clothes. Gained weight everwhere.

you've taken the first step by coming here and asking for help... why not start yourself up a diary -it's the best place to get and us to give support.

Motivation is something that has to come from within yourself -it's tough for others to give it to you - however support is easy and that's yours for the taking.

Find your reason for wanting to drop some weight - to fit into your cute clothes again, to feel better about yourself, to be able to walk past your ex boyfriend and say eat your heart out sucker - I look amazing :D

Start by taking small steps and reward yourself with non-food rewards fr those steps.

20 minutes on the treadmill = bubble bath or a trashy magazine.

In youor diary - record what you are eating and also why you are eating it... sounds like you're using food as a substitute for something else - sometimes just realizing the reason helps to stop it in the future (Ok so I read a dr phil book once :D

Hang in there - remember you are worth having the body you want - and you can get there... take care of yourself and welcome to the forum

heya and welcome! dont give up on yourself.. it's not the end of the world.. glad u made the choice to join this forum! mayb you can start by doing an exercise that u enjoy? like swimming? or find friends to exercise with you? den u'll won't find exercising such a dread.. take care and all the best to you! =D
