Krystle's Excercise and Diet journal...comments welcome

I decided to start a diary of the foods that I am eating throughout the day, and the workouts I do. Lately I have been feeling more hungry than usual, and I was lightheaded tonight AGAIN. no im not pregnant...lol I did start a new birth control pill last week, and since I have gained 3 pounds!! it just look..bloated. so im going to call my doctor on friday about it. but i figured if I posted my activities and such here, if you guys have any suggestions for different meals that are better than what Im eating, or maybe tell me if you think im even eating right for the activites I do, I would really appreciate it... so here goes...

6:30 am... 1 cup kashi go lean cereal, with strawberries and blueberries added, with 3/4 cup organic skim milk.

8:30am... 1 medium red apple

845 am... jogged 1 mile and walked 1 mile along beach. This is my day off from the gym. Dont get many of those anymore

10 am.. start work. I am a veterinary assistant and am on my feet running through the clinic all day...good times

10:30... Lowfat Breyers yogurt 100 calories

1.00 pm... lunch tuna sandwhich on whole wheat bread, with 1 tablespoon fatfree mayo, with 1/2 cup baby carrots, and 1/2 cup green grapes

3.00pm 1 stick sargento lowfat string cheese 50 calories

5.15 pm... dinner 4 ounces grilled chicken breast, 1/2 baked sweet potato plain, 1/2 cup steamed broccoli

Was starting to feel light headed and like I was starving to death by the time I got home at 8.30 tonight, so I went ahead and ate a pita (60 calories) with 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter. (200 calories probably)
 
Depending on what you do when you work out, is it possible that you're not getting enough calories, and that maybe you get low blood sugars as a result (as well as lightheadedness).
 
well that is what I was wondering... I always make sure to eat when I get hungry... It is just weird that all of a sudden Im getting lightheaded. I have been eating the same diet for a while now, and even with my class load, I have felt okay.
 
I will, she is off tommorow though, so I will have to call on friday. Its only inthe evenings, a few hours after dinner, and never during the day. I have tons of energy, and feel like I can keep going even after an intense step class.
 
Okay lets see how I did today... Today was my day off from work..YIPPEE!

6:30am...1 medium apple and a bowl of kashi go lean cereal with 1/2 cup organic skim milk mixed with strawberries and blueberries

i fell asleep for an hour after that..lol what a loser
around 8ish i tried to go for a walk on the beach, but was interrupted by a little seagul with a broken wing. of course I had to take it to a rehabber(spelling?)

10ish...pre workout snack was a Luna bar.. not the best thing but OH SO GOOD definatly my chocolate fix for the day:)

10:30.. BodyStep Class(high intensity step class) 1 hour

12 noon... chicken sandwich with a tablespoon fat free mayo, baby carrots, and green grapes

2:00..snack was a medium apple with tablespoon peanut butter

4:30.. small portion (about 3 or 4 ounces tops) of salmon with a bowl of steamed broccoli

5:45...Bodystep again 1 hour

7:30... bowl of plain oatmeal with about 1 tablespoon or so of whey protein added, with a few strawberries and blueberries
 
I didnt go to step class this morning, I think I need a break. So I decided to take a break until monday, I have to be there monday no if ands or buts lol. Then I am going on vacation from tuesday through saturday morning. figured I will keep up with light jogging, nothing too intense, and see how I feel. I wasnt feeling well last night again. bleh.
 
man what a lonnnnggg day, dont know about you guys but im sure glad its the weekend!!! Although my boss did manage to talk me into working tommorow somehow...ugh

Breakfast- kashi cereal with blueberries and strawberries, and organic skim milk with an apple

snack- lowfat breyers yogurt

lunch- tuna sandwhich with bit of fat free mayo, baby carrots, green grapes

snack- lowfat string cheese, and a few bites of an apple

dinner - 4 ounces of chicken breast grilled, bowl of steamed broccoli, another apple lol i cant help it they are my favorite fruit

and i just randomly got hungry after all the errands I have been running since getting off of work so I had a wheat pita bread with tablespoon peanut butter. I feel good tonight, no lightheadedness...yeah! no headache either!
 
I definatly turned today into a cheat day...LOL its okay though I suppose, I had been diligent all week since last thursday. Breakfast and lunch was the norm, except I had chicken breast instead of a sandwhich today for lunch. But for dinner MMMMM let me tell ya, we had ribs, chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and dip, baked beans, cake, everything! and then to top things off, I went to carry the cake inside and 4 little kids came hauling butt around the corner of the house and totally ran into me and made me drop the cake upside down onto the clean carpet...LOL! that was sooo embarassing. what a klutz!

No excercise again today though, I banged my leg up pretty good yesterday morning at work, couldnt hardly put any weight on it yesterday morning. Its feeling pretty good now though so I think I will take a nice run on the beach tommorow morning, maybe go check out the dolphins down at Fort Story, see if there are any new calves. That is always a good excuse to run a few miles:) You cant park your car there, you have to walk because its at the military base. Well hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!
 
Man what a day!! fun day though. We went to busch gardens, me and a bunch of girls from work. it was tons of fun, felt good to get out, i dont do that very often.

4 am- big bowl of kashi, with blueberries and strawberries, with organic skim milk

6am went for run on beach for about an hour.. saw a few dolphins again, no calves:(

830 am- post workout luna bar...REALLY good

845 went to busch gardens

1 pm- lunch... i brought my pb and jelly sandwhich, and some baby carrots. I finnaly found some sprouted wheat bread...that is soooo good! Now the fun begins...

For the rest of the day we drank a buttload of beer, and ate a buttload of darkchocolate that we recieved free from the beer school (yes they have a beer school at busch gardens...LOL) and I thought I was gonna do good on my diet today...yeah right!! oh well, I had a blast, and if you have never ridden a really BIG coaster with a really big BUZZ, might I reccomend it LOL

dinner at 730 consisted of a turkey burger with no bun, broccoli, and apple, and a handful of quaker mini cakes because I was so freakking i couldnt wait for dinner to cook LOL I swere I will start eating right... I dont even think I will weigh myself tommorow at the gym, I will probably get discouraged...

I kind of like this diary thing, I can go back and see how I have done over the past week. I am packing to go out of town, I am leaving tommorow morning around 5ish. Im so excited!!! My buddy John promised to teach me to wakeboard...this outta be interesting:p

Been packing all morning, getting ready to take a group cycle class. I have never taken one before, and since I have today off, I figured I would try it. I didnt make it to step class this morning, had too much of a headache from the night before, but thats okay, I have one tonight that I have to do, Steph will kick my butt if I dont go.

Breakfast 415- kashi cereal with strawberries, blueberries, almonds, organic skim milk... 1 apple

snack- a handful of quaker rice cakes minis... i was having a sweet tooth, probably from all the chocolate yesterday lol

lunch- tuna with a bit of fat free mayo on sprouted wheat bread, 1 banana
 
hey there, good job trying out the cycling class. I took one a month ago and it wasn't as scary as I imagined. Time actually flew by, hope you enjoy it ;)
 
I started taking spinning classes in January, after a couple of months of the gym manager's suggesting I should go. I've been going regularly since as it's a fun class - the instructor is excellent and there's a core group that goes that are not uber athletes. Glad to see you took the leap of faith too.
 
oh my goodness!! what a day and a half!!! after my last post, I went straight to the group cycle class. There was only about 3 people in it, i suppose because it is during the day, on a monday when everyone is at work. But I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I really did feel it in my legs. My legs are kinda sore right now! :) After that, I helped my dad move boxes up and down stairs into the moving van. They are moving tommorow, and we were loading up what was left. Good lord, we had a line of people going, handing boxes off to one another, and it STILL took a few hours to get everyone else loaded in the van. And boy was it hot outside! That was a workout in itself. Then me and dad took the my brother and his 2 friends who were nice enough to help us move out to grab dinner. They all wanted wendys. typical kids lol. after that I had step class, stupid air conditioner is not fixed YET! the thermometer said it was 94 degrees farenheit in the classroom. ugh. After that me and dad went fishing in the chesapeake bay... He caught a skate(stingray thingy) that put up a pretty good, long fight...he thought he had caught his first shark of the season! LOL guess again! and it is now about 1 in the morning and I now finnaly finished packing everything. Along the way I managed to polish off a bottle of red wine.... and ate some quaker mini rice cakes... im going to stop buying those they just get me into trouble

Lunch... tuna sandwhich on whole wheat sprouted bread, with bit of mayo

snack... peanut butter on pita

dinner... wendys mandarin chicken salad, with just the greens, chicken, and oranges... and half a packet of fat free ranch dressing

snack after step class.... luna bar yummy those are gonna get me trouble too

throughout the night...bottle of wine LOL that is REALLY gonna get me into trouble.. we will see how I do on my vacation. Its not eating healthy that worries me, its the drinking. Im no alcoholic by any means, but i LOVE wine, and I LOVE beer...the two things we have at the lake house... :eek:
