Hello. :)

I stumbled upon this site while doing a search for Woolong tea of all things so I lurked around a bit, thought it looked great and decided to join. I've been doing my weight loss plan for about a month now and so far I've lost 14 pounds. I have a ways to go yet so I'm hoping I can get some support and guidence from the good people here and hopefully, I will be able to return the favor.

Thanks for the great site, it's good to be here.

Hi Kaika,
Welcome to the WLF!

And congratulations on the 14 pounds lost so far!! That's a fantastic start :)

Thank you M2M. It's such a good feeling knowing that I lost that much. I can't wait to lose more.

Thank you Steve. Just to let you know (I have read some of your posts, good info by the way) I am doing this with good balanced eating (portion control incorporated with more fruits and veggies), working out everyday (alternating between cardio and light weight training/toning everyother day) also, no pills, no prepakaged meals, no surgeries ect... heck, I don't even have a tread mill (not that there's ANYTHING wrong with those things if they work for people and you can afford it, go for it!) about the only other thing I do differently is drink woolong tea but I haven't been drinking that everyday by any means so I don't think that really has anything to do with it.

I just hope other people get themselves educated about it and realize there's no need for them to spend a lot of money to lose wieght. With a little bit of knowledge and determination, they can do this with nothing more than a trip to their local grocery store for some healthier food, some inexpensive free wieghts (or a couple of can's of corn even), and their own two feet. :)

Welcome to the Forum, Awesome job so far :)

and youre totally correct, you dont need much to become healthy and fit, just the determination and a little creative effort :D

Thanks guys. :)

And Lynn, it's good to know there are others out there doing it too.

Let me clarify something I said, there's no need for most people to spend a lot of money. I understand that sometimes surgery is neccesary for some folks but I do believe the vast majority of us can do it with out it. Trust me when I use this cliche', if I can do it, anyone can, especially on my budget, LOL.

I you working out in a gym?

I would stay away from high rep weight training, lower rep higher intensity stuff would work better for you since you are in a deficit. There is no such thing as toning.

Nope, no gym, I can't afford that, and I only use 2 pound hand weights, nothing strenuois and I only do two reps of fifteen for each excersise. My butt and legs are firming and so are my arms. My main problem is my stomach area which has gone down some what but I know in due time, it will get better with the cardio.
