Hi everyone!!

I am starting my weight loss journey and am very excited about it. It's time for a change and I've watched too many years go by, putting my weight loss off for another day, week, month, and year.

My ultimate goal is to lose 100lbs. I'm going to focus on fitting certain pants sizes. If the scale doesn't say what I want it to I get discouraged. This will be a new approach for me.

I definitely need support and I have an amazing husband and family and friends. I know that someone who is going through their own weight loss journey can be very valuable to keep me on track and give me advice.

I have a tough road ahead of me. But I'm all in.

hi Msjmartin! Welcome and like I always say to everyone, the first step is always the hardest but its going to be the first hardest best step you've ever taken=). What are your diet goals? fitness goals? Maybe start a weight loss journey and just write down everything you did, ate, felt, tips, so that when you reach that goal or even half of that goal you can look back and see what great progress you've done. Try getting on the scale maybe once every week or one every two weeks. Weight can fluctuate through out the day so taking your weight first thing in the morning is always the best. Good luck and if you ever need support you can always come on here! I have started a blog and it has my journey and motivation, inspiration and even recipes=).

Hey msjmartin,

I've just turned 24 too and im starting my weight loss efforts as of today. if you need someone to check in with, feel free to drop me a private message. I have my plan set out for the next five months and hopefully will drop around 30lbs in that time. The guys here advised me to start a journal on the site, maybe that would be good for you too?

Hello msjmartin,

I've just registered to this Forum. I just wanted to say HI and wish you the best of luck in this journey. I'm also 24 years old. If you want to read my story, read my thread in this sub-forum.

Hoping to get to know each other and share this experience with each other.

I feel like the odd one out now - I'm not 24!
I did start a diet a while back, though, and I'm feeling better and better by the day.

I'm sure you'll lose that weight, MSJ. Pant sizes are a great thing to focus on - they are a nice measure of how much you've accomplished.
