Hello board,
So I've been eating my way to happiness for about a year and I've gotten fat and out of shape. I'm 6'4", and a week ago weighed in at 237 lbs. My goal is to lose 50lbs of fat to take me to 187lbs, and I'm looking to do it before June.
I've done it before, I once went from 244 to 185. The key is counting calories, and maximizing activity. My target calorie count is a maximum of 1,800 per day, but I've been consuming about 1,500-1,600. My diet basically consists of 4 meals:
- 300 cal: 1 Cup Plain Oatmeal (8:00am)
- 450 cal: 6" Subway sandwich + soy chips (12:00pm)
- 450 cal: 6" Subway sandwich + soy chips (4:30pm)
- 300 cal: Lean cuisine frozen meal (9:00pm)
There's my 1500 right there, and every once in a while I have a snack in a day that's less than 100 cals. Mixed in with that I have some coffee, and plenty of water and diet soda, plus a daily vitamin. I've found that with strenuous cardio 3-4 times a week, I can lose 3.5lbs per week consistently. But my target is a bit more modest at 2.5lbs per week.
So far so good, in the first week I've lost 5lbs, but no doubt water weight is a big part of that. If anyone has suggestions for me I'm always listening, my goal is to lose fat as fast as possible while staying healthy.
