Hey everyone,

I thought I'd say hi. I am a sahm to a 2 year old and a 1 year old. As you can see I had them very close together, which is kinda why I'm here. I'm 5 feet tall and used to weigh 115 pounds which is healthy for my height. Well lets just say I'm no where near that now, but I will be.

I've tried on and off for the last 2 years to lose the weight but didn't see results fast enough so I would quit. Well this time I'm going to focus on being healthy first and it seems to be working alot better for me. Yay!! :hurray:

Hi, I have a similar situation. I have had 3 boys in the past 4 years, my youngest is now just 1. At my 6 week post baby check up I weighed 241 lbs. I was never heavy before and I vowed to never be again. I have lost 86 lbs since then am on to losing the last 15-20. I am now at the point where it is becoming very difficult to lose anything. I spent last week feeling sorry for myself and ended up gaining another 2-3 lbs; obviously, that did me no good. I'm back on track this week, or was until today when I was sent home from the YMCA because my 3 year old is sick. I've spent the entire day trying not to eat over my 1400 calories and every time I want to eat I have to exercise for 15 mins 1st. It's been a hard day!

My youngest is turning one in a few days. :) That is so so amazing, congrats on losing that much weight. If you don't mind me asking , how long did it take for you to lose that much?

Today has been hard for me too, I am also exercising more for ever extra thing i want to eat.

1 year. My 6 week check up must have been in sept of 09. So, 1 full year. My weight came off real fast at first. I was down to 209 by Xmas but then it just stopped. I was working out by then 4-5 days a week but the scale wouldn't budge. It stayed around the 200 lb mark until this May. I started counting every calorie I pit into my mouth and I logged religiously. No cheat days, no excuses; I was determined. I started training for a triathlon in addition to the classes at the YMCA that I really enjoyed. I was working out twice a day 5 days a week. Every 6 weeks or so I change it up. More weight lifting and less cardio then the next 6 weeks I do more cardio and less weights. Everything I've read says not to let your body get comfortable, keep it guessing. It's worked up until this past few weeks and I'm stuck @ 154-158 and I can't seem to break it. It's so hard!

I've been logging my calories and activities everyday to help me keep track of what works for me as well.

I've heard that too, to keep your body guessing. I'm going to have to keep changing things up as well.

You've come so far and I'm sure you'll break it and get to where you want to be

Hi!! Glad to see you here at WLF!!! Let me know if you need any help with anything!

I'm a sahm too!! i have older kids though, 6 and 12 y/o girls!! I used to weigh about 115 in HS as well. I got up to 250 before I said "enough is enough" and I've managed to shed 17/18 lbs in the last month and a half! I KNOW you can do this!!! We're here for you :)

Hi Korrie,

Thanks so much, and congrats to you for losing that much already. It's such a great feeling. I'm so glad I found WLF.

Well, we'll just have to be the support we each need to not only lose it but to maintain it. I think that will be just as hard, finding that sweet spot of calorie intake and exercise output without gaining anything back.
I'm up and ready to hula hoop!

That's true, maintaining is hard as well. I'll be here for whoever needs support. I've done 2 miles this morning and I'll be doing more yet today
:hurray:

Good Job, I love running in autumn. My son is still sick so I'm stuck in the house again. I've been doing pushups and hula hooping. Another hard day ahead without packing on the calories!

I love exercising outside, it seems to go by so much faster. It's pretty cold here right now so I've only been able to go outside when my husband is home and can stay in with the kids, but I still manage to get it done inside as well.

Hope he feels better soon

kids are still not better but my husband took 1/2 vaca day to watch them so I could get out of the house and get a good workout in. I am back and feeling mentally and physically much better. It's nice to be married to a nice man who understands if I get off track for too long it'll just be harder for me to get back on track.

That is so great. It's so much better when you have someone who understands and is willing to help. I'm glad you are feeling better. It makes such a difference when you can't get a work out in, I find I just feel sluggish if I don't
