Hello all, i'm Tom I recently came across this forum, yet I highly doubt by chance. Three weeks ago, it finally got to me, at the age of 25, I finally got so tired of being "fat" unfortunately I still am. However I have lost 9 pounds in those few weeks, I weighed 319 and now am at 310. The kicker is; standing only around 5ft5 I basically could pass for a ball! I gave up all liquids other than water, no soda or anything. I do add lemon juice to my glass of water on occassion. I gave up all sweets and chips, in other words no snacking at all. I no longer eat until I feel like vomiting, gross huh? I thought so aswell, amazingly I have no cravings (yet). I figured if I could meet people who are in the same boat as me, I could learn from them and vice versa. Anyone have any tips on what type of exercise I should do, I lift weights 3 times a week, but haven't done any cardio thus far, I have 2 kids 1 and under so I want to be around for a long time and watch them grow, I don't want to die because I am selfish and chose to eat my life away. I was told Action cures fear, it now time to prove it.

Tom

It's great to see you're taking action. Starting is the hardest part, and you're already past it, so great job!

Keep it up!

P.S. If you are looking for exercise/nutrition tips, I have recently started a blog just for that. I update it daily with general health and weight loss tips. The link can be found in my signature.

I have been there with the eating until you make yourself sick and then even wanting more! Sounds like you are on to a good start! Welcome!!

good for you on putting your foot down and saying you want change!..

something as simple as walking is a great way to start! even if its down the street.. slowly youll build up to walk longer faster walks. my advice is to slowly build up a workout routine..

i had to throw away all junk food too.. if its not in the house makes things easier and im really good at not buying things i dont need so when i grocery shop its a breeze to go in with what i planned to buy.
