Just Saying Hi

Just wanted to say hello. I've actually been registered to the forum for about 6-8 weeks, but this is my first note. In the first 6 weeks, I lost 9-10 pounds but haven't lost anything since. I didn't think that it was even possible to "plateau" so early! I'm continuing to eat right and exercise, but I am getting a bit frustrated. I do find it helps to read through the forum notes and find that so many of you are working through the same challenges.
I'm happy about the first 10, but I have another 25 to go!

Welcome to the WLF and good for you for posting :)

If you're not losing weight, have you tracked your calories? You might want to check out or both are for tracking calories, nutrition and fitness.

Thanks for your quick reply. It's this kind of support that really made me feel that I could send out my note. I appreciate your suggestion, and I had just started a food diary last Thursday. On Saturday I left for 5 days of travel, and just got back today at 4:00 a.m.! Not much journaling going on, but I did manage my diet fairly well and I did exercise 3 of 5 days and I'll definitely do so today.

By the way, I just saw your post to Jenny on creating a ticker. Followed those instuctions and you can see my new "signature" here. By the way, 82 pounds lost.....YOU ARE AWESOME!

GOOD for you for doing so well while travelling!! That is SO hard to do! I'm sure I wouldn't be tracking my food either!

Glad to see you got the ticker working - I've gone back and forth with having one, and it really does help me *see* how far I've come. It's very exciting when we get to move that ticker!

Congrats to you on losing those 9 pounds - that's a great start to your goal :D
 
Hi! And great job on the weightloss so far! Thanks for posting in my journal. You should get one too, its a great place to rant, share, or just chat in. :D

I know what it's like to plateau, as I've done it a few times. I recently broke the last one, so here's hoping I can get past it. :D
