Hey there! I'm a n00b here. Tomorrow is my b-day and I thought that starting my weightloss journey would be a good present. I'll be 19! woohoo!

I am a very short and small built girl. I am only 4'11 so weight shows up on me very easily. My goal is to lose 20 pounds by middle-end of spring. And then maybe an extra 5-10 more.

I want nothing more than to be able to look in the mirror and not want to strangle the image before me. To rest my head at night satisfied with who I am. To feel beautiful. I want to be healthy and feel healthy. Have my life in order.

So I figured I'd need some encouragement and understanding from people with the same goal in mind. But I won't drag this on any longer. Just wanted to say Hi! And that I am looking foward to making some friends. :grouphug:

Hey, welcome to the forum. "I want nothing more than to be able to look in the mirror and not want to strangle the image before me"... that sounds rather familiar! That 20-30lbs should melt off quickly with a healthy diet and exercise! Do you have any sort of plan yet? If I may suggest, look around in the stickies for a lot of great information! welcome aboard :D Take some time to read the stickies, theres alot of good info there! Also, you can start a diary so you can keep track of your diet/excersize goals!

That 20-30lbs should melt off quickly


I wouldn't say "quickly" weight loss does take time! thats the number one problem w/ dieters is that they don't want to take the time it requires to loose. If weight isn't off quickly enough, they give up. So just remember, it DOES take TIME..sometimes lots of it....but keep going, be determined, you'll get there!
 
Maybe I should have added, and determination... it's not over night, that's for sure, but I guess "quickly" can be interpreted differently to those with little patience... thanks.
