To keep things as brief as possible I'm currently 28/male, 6'2, 340 pounds. I'm really just disgusted with myself. I've been walking a trail by my house for over a week now. The first day I walked 2 miles and since then 3.5 every day and been walking it as fast as I can without resting the whole time. I'd say I'm walking a rate of about 3mph because I left the house at 2:40 yesterday and got back at about 3:50 after the 3.5 mile walk.
Also I've been eating salads, apples, no carbonated drinks, using 35 calorie per slice wheat bread, and trying to stay active like go to a store or something after I walk to keep burning more calories. Anyways, I still am 340 pounds after torturing myself since the 19th. I tried something similar but with much less walking from May to June where I just ate healthy stuff and did not lose any weight. If I sit on my butt and eat tv dinners and drink a 12 pack of soda in 2 days I still stay at 340 pounds. Do I have a problem? I'm beginning to think I just can't get off of 340 pounds for whatever reason.
As a brief past description I've always been a big guy but I didn't balloon out of control until about 2006. I was around 220-230 pounds for a long time then I got lazy and went to Dairy Queen and McDonalds a bit too often and skyrocketed to 340 very fast. Now I'm stuck here no matter what I try and don't know what to do.
