Hello All,

Glad to have come across this forum. I've been struggling with weight problems since my teenage years.

I've tried almost everything, cabbage soup diet, low-carb, soy......everything. And, everytime I lost weight, it would always bounce back. Right now, I am the heaviest I have ever been at 194 pounds. I have to lose 40 pounds to reach my ideal weight.

My first goal is 20 pounds. Come March, I really want to start thinking of having a baby. I am terrified that my unhealthy weight will affect my chances of conceiving or having a health child. I could never forgive myself if my baby had something like gestational diabetes because I did not move my ass to the gym.

Eating healthy is not a problem for me. I have always been very careful about what I eat. However, I constantly slack on the excercise.

I am hoping this forum will help me stick to my goals.

20 pounds before March.

Thanks

hi! glad you joined the forum! we're like a family here. 20 pds by march??? you can totally do it!

Thank You

Korrie,

That is so sweet of you. I seem to have lost 3 pounds since my last post. However, that's not a very big deal since I've been on my period. And, there is water retention during that time.

Like I said before, I want to reach my ideal weight of 155 pounds.

Current weight : 191 pounds
By March : 165 pounds

Saying hi

Hi septembergirl23! I'm also the heaviest I've ever been. I just wanted to say that planning to get pregnant is a great time to start thinking about getting healthy. I got down to my ideal weight before my second pregnancy, and it was great. I continued to exercise until I got sick, and I was sick the rest of the pregnancy. However, being at a good weight beforehand as well as being in shape, I feel, helped me to keep the weight gain at bay. I only gained about 27 pounds, whereas I gained 40 pounds with my first pregnancy. Of course, I lost the weight quickly after I had the baby and have since gained it back and then some. That's what I'm trying to get rid of right now. Anyway, good luck to you!

Thank you guys

Hello All,

Thanks a lot for your kind words.

I have been working out in the Gym for the past 1 week and it feels great. Trying to make as many home-cooked meals as possible with lots of veggies. My husband and I are vegetarian.

If you can manage, try to grab a copy of ' Chicken Soup for the Dieter's Soul'. I love the book, so many inspirational stories which make you feel that you're not the only one out there.

Trust me. This is a lovely lovely book !

Also, how do I best use this forum ? What are the best applications to use ?

Any tips ?
