I have never used a weight loss forum, so i'm hoping this is the kick I need!

To start off I just had my daughter 3 weeks ago via c-section, so i'm still wating for my go-ahead to work out from my doctors (around 6 weeks). In the meantime i'm starting my diet, that is slightly modified.

A little background: Growing up I was in gymnastics and soccer, I won the gold medal in gymnastics for my age group in my state for three years in a row, and was very fit. I played soccer at a national level until I was 17. I have also been snowboarding for 14 years. To keep up with all my activities I ate large portions of carbs/protein, when all my activites suddenly came to a stop when I entered college at 17 I still ate the same amount--so here I am.

Now that I have graduated college i'm 21, 5'8 and 225lbs.

be careful changing your diet. Do it very slowly. Your daughter was used to certain nutrients that you were feeding it while pregnant. If you change your diet too fast, your daughter may dislike your milk -- just be aware. It's something i've heard about, but don't have any personal experience with.

Good luck getting back in shape. Having an active youth and still being young, it shouldn't be too hard to get back into the groove. It might be late in the season, but why not join soccer again.

All the kinks are finally worked out in my diet :D

I have played indoor soccer for many years, but I was on bedrest for 23 weeks--so saying i'm out of shape is an understatement. Indoor is such a fast paced game I need to start a bit smaller.
