I just spoke to someone today, not a nutritionalist or anything, but she does help with weight loss programs custom tuned to individuals. She recommended that everyone drink half their body weight in oz each day whether they are dieting or not.
I'll use me as an example. I weigh 390 lbs. I need to drink 195 oz of water each day. 1 gallon is 128 oz, so I should drink 1 1/2 gallons + a little bit. And, she suggested not doing it all at once

. Small drinks throughout the day but done by supper, unless you want to get up 3 times a night to pee.
She won't even help me with diet or supplements until I have done this for 3 weeks. She said once my body gets used to being hydrated, I will probably start losing a little weight without changing anything else.
Anyone agree/disagree?
