Just dont get it

Hiya all! Got a question for the community that I hope I can get an answer for. For the past three weeks I have been watching my calories and exercising. I am using BalanceLog. In this I got my RMR(resting metabolic rate) calculated and put in to lose 2.2 lbs per week. The app maps out how many calories I can take in. Also I can put in my exercise which counts into the calories I can take in to meet my goal weight.
The first week I dropped 10lbs. I know this was mostly water weight. Since then I have not dropped a pound. Still exercising (doing cardio twice a day..about 1000 calories) and I am even eating below my calorie limit. According to the app I should have lost another 4 lbs last week.
My clothes are fitting better but nothing is dropping on the scale. Even though I am doing only cardio..no weight training yet..could I be putting on muscle? Or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

you should have taken measurements before you started, you may have lost more inches but not pounds. but if thats the case, thats even better because that probably means your gaining lean muscle tissue and losing body fat which is great!

on the other hand, if you have not lost pounds OR inches you may not be consuming a sufficient amount of calories. your doing all that cardio but since your not eating enough your body is hanging on to fat and pounds. are you drinking 64 oz of water per day to help flush out fat?

I am drinking a lot of water. I think it is 64oz or more. I am interested in what you say about the calories though? I am well under the amount I can consume in a day and still lose the 2.2 lbs. How does the body hold onto the fat when I am burning enough in exercise and RMR to use it? I dont think I understand.

Ok...I reviewed my calorie intake. I am averaging 1500 calories a day. My allotment to still lose 2.2 lbs per week based on my RMR is 2210 calories per day. So I am under that allotment by an average of 700 calories. Could that be triggering my body to think I am in fasting or starvation mode? Should I be closer to that amount? Also I took my measurements today (neck, arms, waist, and thighs). I will track those. Hopefully this will prove that I am gaining lean muscle and not starvation.

Does anyone else have any other ideas? Has anyone faced similar circumstances?

i believe you just answered your own question! your body most likely thought you were starving it. i'm glad you decided to take measurements, sometimes the inches are a better indication of loss than what the scale says.
