Can this be a quick way to lose chest fat? i really don't need a lecture on not trying to lose weight quickly cos i'll just gain it back since i have a pretty decent body and all i need to lose is chest fat because they're just so embarassing, since i lost a lot of weight i haven't even been brave enough to take my shirt off because of them! And i've been told that i can't lose weight through weight training but since i've been doing 200 pushups before going to sleep i think there's been a slight decrease in the amount of chest fat i have, is there a decrease or am i just delusional?

Whoever told you this should be shot for sheer stupidity. Never listen to this person again on the subject of health,fitness,nutrition.

Get yourself some weights and quit wasting time doing so many pushups.before going to sleep i think there's been a slight decrease in the amount of chest fat
if there is then its not because of your doing pushups. Its because you have expended more calories then you have taken in. Your body will decide when and where to burn fat. i have, is there a decrease or am i just delusional?

You can not instruct your body to specifically target specific fat. It sure would be cool if you could but question. IF you could "spot reduce" how would you go about loosing face fat?:D
 
Yep, yep, yep, and yep...he covered all the bases. Do some compound movements, HIIT, eat right, and you and your body will be happy.

I just find it weird how i lose weight in the past week (lost weight as in i can't stand with my feet together cos my pants will fall off)especially since i've been working too much to work out and the last time i did anything that would burn a lot of calories was play basketball last monday and after that my friends and I had a large butter crust at pizza hut afterwards so it can't be it. COuld it possibly have been the pushups?
