Wow M2M, just half way there and your already 60% done. Congrats!!
I have lost another 2lbs this week, so that is 4lbs in total for this challenge. I had hoped to do 3lbs this week, because I need 2 lots of 2lbs and 2 lots of 3lbs. But I'm not too concerned if I do 3 lots of 2 lbs and 1 lot of 3lbs, as I would be one lb short on the last friday of July, but I would have three more days before the actual end of the challenge to lose that last pound. I think its doable, but I am going to have to pull out all the stops. Good news, I have no more functions before the end of the month, except one wedding reception, but there is never stuff that I can eat at those functions (due to my IBS/wheat intolerance), so no will power required there
As of yesterday- I was down another 2 pounds for a total of 4.4 lbs. My TOM is wrapping up, so hopefully next weeks weigh-in will be a little higher so that I can make the 10 lb goal by August 1st
hi, i just joined this forum and I would also like to join this group. I think knowing that so many other people also have the same goal as me will motivate me to continue working out and eating healthy. I've lost some weight since the beginning of the month (don't want to check the scale just yet ) so i think i should hopefully be 10 pounds lighter by the end of the month .....
Its really diffiicult Last Chance. Like this week, I feel like I have done really well, and I would love to lose 3 lbs (it would really help me with this challenge), but I don't want to get my hopes up, because it is so hit and miss. Even if you do everything right, you might retain water, or put on muscle, or your body might just decide to plateau ..... its best to keep yourself guarded. What I do is have a few excuses lined up (I think they are on the FSD thread) so if it is a bad result I can say, I had salt yesterday, or I'm coming up to my TOTM .... just to take the sting away.
Good luck for tomorrow Last Chance, and to all other friday weighers. Go FSD!!!
Hey, Last Chance - let your hopes get a little high, but keep your expectations realistic. If you are sticking to your plan, and expect to lose at least an average of 1 pound per week, you will seldom be disappointed. If you hope for a little extra, you might find yourself working just a bit harder to maybe lose 2 or 3 pounds in a week. Just don't come to expect that 2 or 3 pounds, and then you will still be happy on the weeks when you lose 1.
Thanks for the encouragment Mrs. Bear and twin mom. I was supposed to weigh myself this morning but my weight machine has been 'displaced' so i've gotta wait until i get it back ....i guess it's better this way because i'm starting to feel that I am losing weight and if the weight machine had not told me the same thing i would have gotten discouraged. I guess i'll just have to wait till next friday and maybe seeing two weeks worth of weight loss will be an even bigger enocuragement. Joining this club has really made me push hard all of this week because I have seen so many of you working hard and acheiving your goals and now I have no excuse for not trying my best. I'm just disappointed that my ticker will not get a chance to be updated...it looks a little lonely
I just had my weighin and I'm down 5 pounds this week (and did relatively little different compared to last week's loss of 3 pounds - with the exception of 3 extra miles walked)!
So I'm at 219, down 11 pounds since 01 July and one more week to go!!
Once again, great going M2M ... 5lbs!! Woohoo (I've just been in your diary )
Okay, I weighed yesterday, but didn't come on here yesterday as I have been a bit unsure about what to do. I lost 2lbs again which is fantastic .... I'm really chuffed, but the problem is that I wasn't when I weighed. I have only lost 6 lbs and have just over a week to lose 4lbs. It could happen, but I don't think it will. I just can't drop that kind of weight in a week. Thats why I wanted 2lb, 3lb, 2lb, 3lb. The thing is, I shouldn't have felt bad about 2lbs, so if I don't make this challenge (which is highly likely) I don't think I will go in for another 10lb challenge. The thing is that I dont really do anything majorly differently because of the challenge. I don't want to cut back too much, and I tend to have a bit of a splurge on a Saturday (nothing compared to the old heavy binging days though). I'm just a bit worried that if I am too strict, I will end up feeling restricted and might give up.
Its a shame though, because I enjoyed being in this challenge with all of you guys ..... if only we didn't have to weigh
Oh, and Hypo .... ditto. I have lost 6 pounds so far. Its not impossible to lose 4 lbs in a week, but I'm not counting on it I suppose it is just a motivational tool anyway, whether you succeed or not, it is still a goal to aim for
