Step away from the juicer...
I would not recommend juicing for someone looking to calorie deficit & drop weight.
Why?
(1) Juicing ruins the fiber content the food. For example, it is healthier and more filling to eat one orange rather than turning it into orange juice.
(2) Related to point #1, though not entirely because of it, most people feel more full from the calories they eat (not the ones they drink).
(3) The only way to keep the calories down is to juice super-low calorie veggies (e.g, celery & spinach), which doesn't happen to taste very good anyway.
When you are calorie-deficiting to reach your weight loss goals, you need to find:
- adequate, non-caloric hydration (water, tea, etc.)
- high quality foods (proteins, good fats, good carbs) at an appropriate ratio for you [which for most people means keeping carbs no higher than 50% of total calories, quite likely far fewer].
I can't see how juicing would help you in achieving this. Well, maybe the OTHER kind of juicing would, but I wouldn't recommend that either.
