Journey from 171.4 to 134.2

Hey guys,

I had another thread, but I felt like it was scattered because it showed my results from 171.4 to 148, but I am currently at 134.2.

I started my journey May of 2010 and have managed to lose 37.2 pounds since then. I started using South Beach Diet for the first 10-20 pounds of weight loss, then I went into just eating whole foods and being strict with calories. In the beginning I went to the gym 5-7 days a week for between 60-120 minutes, most of which was cardio on the elliptical and some jogging on the treadmill.

I tried to stick to 1,400-1,800 calories a day, but most of the time fell at around 1,600. I also drank almost a gallon of water a day.

I went from size 15 pants to size 4/6. I went from a 36-38 DD to a 32 C chest, and from a large size shirt to small/med. I am very happy with the changes :)

I am 5'7" and as of this morning 134.2 pounds. I just ordered TurboFire, which is a program similar to p90x, only it is based on HIIT workouts for maximum calorie and fat burn. I am hoping to get to 120-125 with lean mass on me, ultimately I would like to lose about 10 more pounds of pure fat.

It was a long journey, but it has been amazing and I am excited to keep going towards my goal. Thank you everyone here on the board for the support, it kept me going :)


UPDATE: 3/12/2011 I am 129.2 pounds and abs are showing! Last pic is from today :D
UPDATE: 3/15/2011 I am now 127.8 pounds and waist is now 24.5 inches :D New pics!

You've done wonderfully. Congratulations on your dedication, it paid off. You look spectacular. :D
 
Great Job! Especially on losing that flap of skin thats overlapped in the middle of your back, thats the place I just dont seem to be losing any weight, and its frustrating :/

But good job none the less.
 
You look fantastic, such an inspiration! I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach and I have that wave at the bottom of my gut where it folds over a bit and I can't wait till it looks flat like yours! Our body shapes are similar as well & I can't wait till I lose some in my chest! Also, How tall are you?
 
Hey you go girl! Funny you just got turbofire. My mom just got it, I didn't know what it was so assumed it was something gimmicky that wouldn't work. I didn't know it was based off HIIT! So that's awesome! I'm going to use it as well.
 
you look superb. awesome job. let us know how the turbo fire goes. i'm doing p90x, and would like to find something else at a similar intensity to keep/improve my results.

again, you look amazing. def don't see where 10 more pounds will come from, but hey. :)
 
Hey guys! Thank you so much for all the kind words.

I know it may not look like I have 10 pounds to lose but, I assure you that I have a big belly and pretty large thighs (the pictures are deceiving). Like I said, I want to lose 10 pounds of fat, but put on some muscle/lean mass. So if I stay at 130 but lose some fat I will be happy because I will lose inches.

I have lost about 5 or so inches since the first post in this thread :) My goal: 6 pack abs and defined arms... I WILL get there :)
 
I keep meaning to stop by here and say you're really doing an amazing job! I'm a regular reader of your journal as well and it's very inspiring - you're just rocking it! great job! :)
 
This is some hardcore inspiration. Your stomach looks so super hot with that tat! You've done such a great job.
 
Hey guys! Thank you so much again for all of your support and kind words! I weighed today and I am 129.2 pounds! :D Here is a picture from today, my abs are finally showing!
