So how good/bad would it be to lift weights then proceed for a jog/run? I want to get back into my workout routine (after a 1 yr stop from being ill). I want to jog/run 4-6 days and lift weights 3-4 days but I am not gonna have the luxury of doing them on separate days or two different times of the day. I want to lose weight and work on muscle strength/definition. So given all that, is that an okay plan? I am a 23 F at currently 125 lbs. I am also wondering if I should lift for 45-60 min then go for a run or run first thing in the morning then immediately lift? Has anyone had more success doing it either way?
BTW...I am used to running 30-50 miles a week and did so for 3 years so I am not new to running. It's just with the illness and the press for time problem, I am trying to figure out how to get back into a good routine for me.
