In the biggest loser topic I know a few of us said about how Jillian Michael's talks about being 100% against diet pills, yet she's marketing her own brand!!

Welp, she is being sued for false advertising.

I really liked her =( I hope this wakes her up and says "hello! America loves you because you DONT endorse this crap, so stop and we'll love you more!"

I think the woman suing her is batty. Jillian doesn't make or market the product, she's a paid celebrity endorser. She has to make money while she can and someone found her price. If she can endorse Zip Lock and Cheerios on TBL, I guess she can endorse this body cleanse stuff.
 
The biggest problem is proving it is the fault of the pill and not the user eating too much or doing enough exercise. There are disclaimers that say it has to be in part of a balance diet and exercise. They all have that.

She's suing them in California, the case will be tossed before it even gets close to being heard. I mean, we're talking about a land where the largest tax paying population makes their living endorsing products.

It didn't work, take it back, get over it.
 
What a whiny b*itch. I really wish judges could just laugh these people out of court. Such a waste of everybody's money.

They can and likely will. You can sue someone but it doesn't mean you automatically get to tie up the courts with a lawsuit.
 
It just irks me that this lady has the audacity to sue for 5 million in damages. MILLION. How exactly did this ineffective weight loss pill cause you 5 million worth of anguish?


Just comes down to greedy, lazy people looking for a way to cash in on someone else's hard work.

Is someone going to sue Kim Kardashian next too for her diet pill endorsement?! Lame!

People need to stop suing and blaming other people for their problems. I was just at the store the other day seeing a swarm of people hovering around the diet pill section.

It's not the celebrity's fault, people need to look in the mirror and stop looking for a miracle pill.
 
That lady isn't going to see a dime. Maybe instead of trying "miracle pills" she should get off her fat ass and work out like everyone else. And maybe put a padlock on her cupboards and fridge because no one is forcing fatty food in her face.

People like her piss me off. It is no one's fault but her own that she's fat. Guess what? I'M FAT TOO! I have no one and nothing but myself to blame. I'm taking the inititive to get off my fat ass, put down the Ben & Jerrys and take care of myself! Eating right, working out... the whole 9 yards. She's a moron for thinking some pills are going to magically make her lose weight. Nothing but old-fashioned diet and exercise is going to work. Good lord...

wow people are stupid I have family that think the diet pills will work.. I'm a lazy person but not that lazy only way I'm going to get waht I want is to get off my ass just like everyone eles... its just sad to think it will work anyother way
 
My pretty pretty imaginary girlfriend sued... the horrors! :p

I have to say I think she should not put her face on products she does not believe in, I am sure she could endorse fitness equipment and other crap and dodge the pills (doesn't she like write books, make DVDs, work on TBL US and for a while AUS, I am sure she is in no way poor and in dire NEED of endorsing crap!), but the lawsuit is just a joke.
It's like the woman who sued Bosch or whatever for not stating on a microwave package that drying a wet cat in the microwave could lead the cat to die. Duh!

I believe that when a person struggles through weight loss they buy everything on the market that they believe would help, no matter if it's endorsed by Jillian Michaels or the Kardashian Sisters, that person will try it. Now whether if it works or not, are they going to sue every person's face on the boxes of products they've tried?

She seriously needs to get over it and get serious about losing weight without having to rely on drugs.
 
there's something horrifying to understand about the human race.

go look for someone with an actual 100 IQ. A name on their shirt wearing, coors drinking, mouth breathing, completely average intelligence nincompoop. Then realize that 50% of the poor slobs out there are dumber than him.
 
Shouldn't we have some sort of law against frivolous law suits?

Maybe the state of California should counter sue for waisting time and tax payer's money.
