Jillian Michaels 30 day shred

Has anyone tried this work out video yet. I did my first day yesterday.

The videos are about 30 min. she uses this 3-2-1 approach

3 minutes free weights while doing leg exercises (toning)
2 minutes of cardio (jumping jacks, jump ropes, etc)
1 minute abs

You repeat 3 time in the workout with a warm up and cool down.
I am sore this morning and was sweating so much last night from this.

Has anyone done this and received results or have any input.
 
It's a form of aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise of any sort will expend energy and improve your cardiovascular fitness. There's nothing magical about it and in fact, for most, it's not how I'd structure something. But if you enjoy it and think you'll do it consistently, it will help create that caloric deficit assuming your nutrition is in check.

It certainly isn't going to 'tone' you.

Thanks for the input for now it is a way for me to get back into exercising since i have not consistently been exercising for the past 3 years. i want to get back to where i was running 5 miles and have my DH help me in the weights area as he has a weight bench etc..
 
Use this as your stepping stone...

As I said above, it's all about consistency. Build a foundation with something you enjoy and go from there.
 
I have the exercise Chanel on Demand and I did the first workout in the 30 day shred. I'm not following the nutrition aspect I just really like the workout. I was really sore which is great I felt like I got a decent workout in the short amount of time.

I am not following the diet either but i love how sore i am too! i usually if i have time do another type of workout after like yoga or pilaties to calm me down and stretch my muscles
 
I've been doing the 30 Day Shred, and I like it. I usually do the level 1 workout and when I have the time I try and do level 2. I definitely feel the burn. :)
