hi, My name is Jessica and I am new here.

I am 16 years old and sick of being fat. I Am not sure of my exact weight i will have to wait for tomorrow to weigh myserlf again. But i think its around 173 lbs.. At 5'5 (?) Im not sure of my exact height either.. lol..

But I figured i would tell you my goals, I have lost almost 10 lbs (Maybe more since last week when i weighed) in a few months, Juts by Cutting back a little on my eating..

I would like to loose another 20 lbs and i will be happy but i would still want to keep loosing until i am about 130-140 lbs..

I would probably loose alot more weight if I had any will power at all.. Lol.. Potato chips are my weakness:blush5: And i tend to not be able to say "NO" to them.. tehe
 
Today was an alright day.. I had a plain bagel with plain cream cheese for breakfast. And a small cappaccino from tim hortons, That was around 8:40 am.. At 11:30 I got on my lunch break in school and went for a walk down the street ith a friend, it was only a short walk. And at 12 pm I had a Chicken cesar wrap and a bottle of water and for desert I had a sugar free chocolate chip cookie.. Its only around 2:44 pm now, So i will be going for a long walk with my dog, Plus After supper, I will be heading off to myu cabin for the weekend where i will be canoeing and walking and doing tonns of activities.. Should be a good weekend..

I feel like I could eat everything in the world right now as it is "That time of the month".. And I WANT to eat anything i can get my hands on *sigh*..
 
Terrible 2 days! Mom didnt make supper yesterday, And we were going to the cabin, So in a rush she went to mcdonalds :)cuss:) .. But instead of my normal Greasy cheeseburger, I had a fajita (sp?) Meal.. And i had baked cheetos as a snack last night.... Which wasnt tooooo bad, until my dad decided to have a bonfire, And roasted me Two weiners :cuss: And 1 marshmello.. Ugh.. Plus my mother forgot to pack things for Lunch today, so Back to mcdonalds for a cheeseburger.. ARGH.. Did go for a walk last night with the dog.. And went for a walk/hike for about An hour or so.. Going to move my ski-machine into my bedroom so i can start using that.. Plus i bought a wii fit today, so im going to see how that will work!
 
Hey Jessica,

Glad to see your keeping a diary, I feel it is a very helpful tool (at least for me) in being successful in weight loss. In the beginning I had those pitfalls too that you went through in the beginning of your weight loss journey. Instead of letting it get me down, I took it as a learning experience, and I was able to write down my feelings of how I felt after eating fast food. When a family member or friend asks me to go out to eat at a fast food place with them, I just read the one post in my diary and remember how that food made me feel, and it helped with me making better choices the next time around!

I wish you the best of luck in your weight loss journey, and remember, if you put your heart, mind & soul into it, you'll be able to achieve the results your looking for!

Sounds like you're freaking for no reason, sweetie. It's all about moderation. Sure, you don't want McDonalds every day. But the occasional cheeseburger won't hurt. However, when you DO eat out, don't get the biggest burger you can. I mean, I found that yeah, while I could eat the humungo-quadruple cheeseburger, one cheeseburger and a water will fill me up and keep me going for quite a while - IF I eat slowly.

Also, if you have the money, you could try buying Lean Cuisines. That's what I've been doing, and at around 300 calories each, not bad. They fill me up quite nicely too.

If you fall off your diet wagon... don't give up! Just dust yourself off and climb back on!

Ive been eating pretty good the last 2 days.. Although I havent had time to get breakfast in the mornings :ack2:

I am injured, and cannot excersize.. I was on mine and keelys third walk of the day last night, and we went cross country hiking thru a beautiful trail in the woods (Keely is my dog BTW) .. I Was wearing flip flops as our little hike was not planned.. Spir of the moment kinda thing... Whne i went to Climb over a large stump I did something with my Foot.. It was like a twisted it but at the same time it was weird what happened, I cant even explain it ...I can walk, But with a bad limp and its painful.. Cant use my ski machine or anything.. hmm, Maybe i could lift some weights?... Most likely My foot/ankle being screwed up is my hips fault.. (I suffer from hip dysplasia) Ugh, Im 16 in a 45 year olds body..


Now not only can i not excersize, but neither can Keely or kacee (Dogs) ..

I dunno if anybody here like animals/dogs, but if you'd like I could share some pictures of my Fur babies.. :coolgleamA: (I have a slight obsession with dogs)
 
OMG.. LIFE SUCKS, when you have a bummed foot.. I wanna excersize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:ack2:


Plus the dogs are NOT happy with the fact that they didnt get even 1 walk today, when they ussually get 3!
 
Ok, Doing good with my eating.. My mom is making chilli for supper.. With tortilla chips and cheese.. But im not freaking out , I just skipped my snack today so my calorie intake should be the same, and instead of white bread i had my sandwhich that i had for lunch on cracked wheat bread and that saved a few calories Plus, it filled me up much much more then the white :D I think I will stick to the cracked wheat bread, i like it more, although i dont eat the crust.. Crust is gross on crcked wheat.. And i had a banana and a nature valley fruit and nut br for brekfast.. Still cant do my excersie.. My ankle is worse today.. But I have a wrap on it now...

And this is what my routine will be when my ankle gets better.. And this is what it was before my ankle got killed.

I Am taking in around 13-1400 calories /day

A I am burning off about 1083 calories/day

Weight lifting for 30 mins = 197 calories burned

Jogging with 2 dogs for 30 mins = 230 calories burned

walking the dogs for 1 hour = 197 calories burned

ski machine for 1 hour = 459 Calories burned

Thats 3 hours of excersize, and 1083 calories burned..
 
Wow, Just weighed myself for shits and giggles.. And in 2 days, just by eating differantly and not even excersizing.. I lost 1.5 pounds! Thats pretty cool eh? haha.. Exciting!
 
That's awesome! I'm down another pound or so, bringing my weight loss to around 13lbs. It may take a while but you can do it! Remember getting enough calories is important. Your body needs extra fuel to run while you're working out.

It will tell you your general calorie needs.

Plus, each pound of fat burns around five calories a day, or so I'm told. So for me, let's say I have 80 lbs of fat. 80 x 5 = 400 calories burned per day from doing nothing.

So, for you, 22 x 5 = 110 calories burned.

So if i keep my 13-1400 calories a day, and do 1 hour of excersize per day. But change it up from day to day whether i walk, jog, use my ski machine or lift weights, i should still be able to loose weight at a good, steady pace. But still pretty fast. If i loose 2-3 lbs a week for 10 weeks, that wouldnt be too bad, would it?
 
2 pounds a week is good, but expect the rate of loss to slow down as you get closer to your goal weight.

TORTURE.. Mom told me i have to drink alot of water and im not aloud to pee!

Can anybody tell me what they are like? I hvent had one before... And i dont like the idea of showing my stomache( and the stretchmarks that come with it) to the ultrasound person.. Better not be a guy:ack2:

Is the ultrasound for your foot? It's not a big deal and it shouldn't hurt at all.

If it's for your stomach, the pressure may feel weird, but it won't hurt. May I ask why you're getting an ultrasound?

For a long time now i have been having super irregular periods (Going 8 months with out one and then when i do have one it would last 3 weeks)

Well, I had my ultra sound done to look for tumors, or cists , or anything causing it .. The docter wasnt loud to tell me anything.. I dunno why.. but he wasnt.. And Im kinda freaked out as he had a weird look on his face once he started looking and he was kinda acting, different..

We both had a pretty good sense of humor and we were joking around about random stuff, and then his face changed and he half looked worried.. I dunno, Might have just been my imagintion.. But it freaked me out..


Oh, and BTW- I got the Young HOT MALE docter:cuss: Just my fricken luck.. urgh.. I felt so weird having to show him my body (I actually made a little joke about it.. lol).. I felt so, upset/mad/embaarrased to pull my pants down a bit and to pull my shirt up over my belly.. I was like, OMG please dont notice the stretch marks and the fat! :ack2: then i totally forgot about it when hbe started to talk to me and just laughed about stuff like normal.. Omg, Im crushin' on a docter.. hahahahha

I had an ultrasound a couple of years ago, for a bladder problem I was/am having, and it was just a lil un-comfy, with the prodding, and pushing around. But they talk you through it too. So no problemo. ;) Just make sure you really drink a ton of water, so you're not sitting there like me for two hours, after hogging back 7 cups and having them wait for you to wait for this water to swell up. I had had water, but not enough. :ack2:

Running Girl- Thanks alot! It wasnt tooooo bad, but when he first put the thing on my stomache and saw how full my bladder was he was like, "OH WOW, i think you should really go and try to empty your bladder a little" then he was like "I assume it hurts, Its REALLY full" , So he told me to empty it until it stopped hurting but i could still feel pressure.. I tell you, it was the hardest thing ive done in all my life. Trying to stop peeing after i started that is! I mean OMG, Once i started i didnt wanna stop.. lol

oh and, I think some people in the hospital thought i was pregnant:blush5: I mean, I know it looks like i have a baby bump, but do ya have to stare? Just cuase it looks like i have a baby bump, and im getting an ultrasound, does NOT mean im pregnant, you dont have to stare! lol.. They were staring at me disprovingly, as soon as i stated my age to the receptionest, everybody kinda looked at me like.. WTF, How irresponsible.. It was so fricking embarrassing.. And i wasnt just imagining it because of how insecure i am.. my mom noticed it too! :willy_nilly:

Hopefully it was just your imagination. The reason he probably couldn't tell you what was going on was he was probably the nurse or attending doctor, and not YOUR doctor. Hopefully at least.
