I'm back. I've been here for years, and most of you probably know me. For those of you that don't... Hello, hello, hello, nice to meet you! :waving: My highest weight was around 290 back in 2009. At one point last year I was down to around 185, and right now I'm at 214. Yeah.... 214...let's join together and sigh about that one.... *siiiiiiiiigh*


Ok, moving right along...

I'm 5'6" and wearing a size 14 jean right now, but they are snug. My goal is to be very close to 180 on my birthday, May 20th. I ultimately would like to be in a size 10 or 12 jean. I'm not going for super skinny here. I like my curves, and so does my other half. ;)

I firmly believe in having everything in moderation. If my calories allow it, I will have a piece of chocolate or scoop of ice cream. The trick is not eating 10 candy bars or the whole container of ice cream. That is something I still work on.


Biggest obstacles:
Mountain Dew, Pepsi, ice cream, chocolate, I hate exercise, and the fact that my boyfriend is a trained chef.

What I have going for me
:
I've lost a lot of weight in the past and have managed to keep most of it off. I know what I have to do. I just have to do it.

We've both been here for YEARS and weigh almost exactly the same now. THIS IS OUR YEAR. Probably. Almost certainly.

It's great that you've done it before. That means you can do it again. I'm new to the forums, but I think the hardest thing probably is focus and stamina. I wish you much luck on your weight loss journey and look forward to seeing your results.

Chef's doing good. He went off track for the holidays, but he's getting back on track with me now, thank goodness. I don't have the willpower to say "no" to the fattening and delicious food he can make..haha!

I'd say you're probably right about the focus and stamina. I tend to lose focus, get lazy, go off track, and manage to convince myself that eating an entire carton of ice cream is a good idea. Calories? Pshhh..there's no calories in that ice cream! It's not gonna adhere directly to my ass. Nope. Not gonna happen! But it does. Every single time. haha! Damn ice cream. Then I feel like shit, regain my focus...and here I am... back on the forum. Focused and ready to kick some ass again. :) You may hit some bumps along the way, but you just have to keep going. Anywho... welcome to the forum!


Today is going well. I did an arm workout with hand weights, and the treadmill for 40 minutes. I have to get some cleaning, laundry, and work done yet. Maybe go to the store. Wind chills are supposed to be -30 to -40 in the next couple days. There's no way I'm going outside if that happens. Not a chance. haha!
 
I know what you mean about the cold weather. It's only getting up to 64 here today. Brrrrrrr!
 
Coming back to the place we all have had success with is the number one thing...so congrats on making that choice! I am back again after a spotty 2013...and I know if I commit to this wonderful place...the rewards are triple! So kudos to you!!

Well school is closed tomorrow because of the cold weather. I was really looking forward to the kids going back to school tomorrow, but I guess that's not happening. Oh well, another day to sleep in. I'll take it! :)

IcyChic has this exercise contest going on. You should join. It's very flexible and it might be what you need to get the ball rolling on exercise.

Either way, I'm very pleased you're back.

If you'd like we can race to our respective century marks. You from 214 to onederland and me from 330 to the 200s (couldn't think of a clever name)? That's a 7% loss for you and an 8% for me. No worries if you're not quite ready for another defeat. :D
 
I joined the challenge, and am on my way to ONEderland again, Quercus. On. My. Way. Better keep up. There really is no clever name for the 200s... someone needs to think of something for that.

Catching up again after 6 months of being absent. Glad to see the spirits are still high and one of my biggest obstacles is also giving up chocolate - quite a bugger hey. But we are gonna do it!! Good luck on your challenge!!

Today was a pretty good day. I ate around 1400 calories. Cravings were a bit higher today, but I resisted. Kids are off from school again tomorrow, and tomorrow is also exercise day again.

Right now I'm off to bed. Nite all.

I realize I kid you on this, but crank the headphones up and it shouldn't be so bad.

MrVee- I have to crank it up to hear it over these children. It's the only way I can pretend they're not doing the stuff they shouldn't be doing while I'm on there. lol.

I'm about to hop on the treadmill for a while. I'm stressed out today. I'm PMSing really BAD, and since I'm trying not to stuff food down my pie hole in place of emotions... this is gonna be a fun day. lol!

Hope the exercising went well and the PMSing doesn't cause too many issues today. And yay for joining the challenge with us :)

I just finished the treadmill and an arm workout. I feel pretty good. I have to get started on cleaning pretty soon though, and figure out what I'm gonna do with the chicken in the fridge for dinner. Which means I'll probably be on Pinterest for the rest of the afternoon. haha!

I'm ending the day at 1300 calories. I'm at 1100 right now, but I plan on having a snack here in just a second. Overall it was a good food and exercise day. :)

Anyways... I'm getting some work done this morning, and then I have to go do some things for my mom all afternoon. So far so good today though, even though I got a horrible nights sleep. A nap sounds so much better than work. lol.
