I carry it ALL in my belly....is there some trick to getting rid of it??? I'm worried it will never go away, and I'll never be able to show my stomach off again. I'm 31 years old, I fear I'll be stuck with it forever.

Any suggestions?

MicheleK i so know what you mean(ive had 2 kids so jelly belly i can understand lol) bad news first its all genetics, where you loose and gain weight all depends on your genetic make up(really sucks i know)
now for the good news(no miracles though ;) ) with a healthy diet, cardio 3-6X's a week, and some abwork 2-3x's a week you can get some pretty good results. ive been doing this for about 6 weeks now and let me tell ya im seing stuff i never thought i would, actual abdominal cuts(the begining of a 6 pack omg  im very excited lol)and ive lost about 20 lbs lowered my bf% and gained a bunch of muscles. good luck :)

Yep, there is a trick:

-A healthy diet (eating plan)
-Cardio exercise (jogging, running, anything that burns calories)
-Strength training (weights and resistance training)

First and foremost, your diet. Are you eating healthy? If you are overweight, you first need to focus on creating a calorie deficit in order to lose weight. All of this is explained throughout the stickies on the forum.

A good exercise program is also required - eating is a large part of the battle, but exercise will give you the burn that you want. Unfortunately for us, our problem areas (in your case, stomach area) are usually the last places to go when it comes to burning fat - you can blame our genes for that. However, healthy eating, cardio activity with a little bit of strength training will get rid of it in a healthy way.

Make sure to soak in the information in the stickies around the forum - they taught me everything I know.

Good luck! :cheers2:

are you expecting strength training to make your thighs smaller or did i miss your point?

Is there no rule around here for digging in forum graves? I've seen a lot of topics recently from 2005 or 2006 being brought back up; not sure why. I didn't even look at the date this time.
