My update, my wife had a doctor’s appointment on the 13th of August, so I weighed myself at his office 333 lbs. I had an appointment for med check the 17th the same week, same doctor, same scale, I weighed in then at 337 lbs; don’t understand how I could have gained 5 lbs in five days don’t know if I should trust these scales or not.

One morning while I was at the gym I asked if the scales there were correct because they seemed to weigh different everyday, receptionist told me the health center right across the hall had better scales, were more accurate and gives fat % and so forth. Went to health center and weighed in on a Tanita TBF-300A scale.
August 22nd results, Weight 324.4 lbs, BMI 44, Fat% 38.5, BMR 9206 kJ 2200Kcal (no idea what this is), Impedance 301 ?, Fat Mass 124.8lbs, FFM 199.6lbs,TBW 146.2lbs.
August 28th results, Weight 322.8lbs,BMI 43.8, Fat% 41.8%, BMR 9186 kJ 2195kCal, Impedance 322 ?, Fat Mass 135.0lbs, FFM 187.81lbs,TBW 137.4lbs.
August 31st results, Weight 321.8, BMI 43.6 Fat% 41.5, BMR 9171 kJ 2192kCal, Impedance 321 ?, Fat Mass 133.6lbs,FFM 188.2lbs,TBW 137.81lbs.

Big question for you folks, should I let myself think I have lost 15.2 pounds by going off the 337 lbs weigh in, or 11.2 lbs using the 333lbs weigh in, or the 2.6 lbs using the 324.4 lbs weight beginning the 22nd of August with scale from the health center.

I don't think you're gonna get an accurate loss -- unless you're weighing yourself at the same time, wearin the same thing, on the same scale... So give yourself a starting weight and just go from there..

I agree with Male. In addition, dont rely strictly on any scale to measure your loss. How you feel (energy wise), how your clothes fit etc, are alos indicators of success. I've also heard its best to weight yourself no more than once a week, as weight can, and will, fluctuate from time tim time. Good Luck!

Buy a scale, weigh yourself first thing in the morning, and always use that scale. It may not be perfectly accurate, but at least you know it's a consistent result from your starting weight to show progress.

I am even more anal retentive!! I always weigh myself pre-breakfest, post shower/bathroom... not even lotion until after:D lol and I put the scale in the same place on the floor using the edge of the tile to measure and I step on the same place on the scale as well (there are little bumps to guide me. Also I stand and look forward and relax... the scale is digital and takes a few seconds to record the weight...
can we say OCD!!! lmao. However I am more sure about my weight that way. I swear I could step off the scale and step back on in 5 minutes and it's different... sometimes I do that too:eek: ha ha It's extreme but it has become routine for me after 8 months! Doctors scales have so many people stepping on them that they can't be all that accurate.
I would say just pick a weight in the middle of your range and start from there. The beginnig weight is good but until you get a scale of your own and control some of the factors that can affect weight (like clothing) you won't really know exactly what your progress is:)

Well the gym was closed for a week because of our county fair, while they were closed we didn’t get to go and do our normal workouts, but at least we did manage to walk a few nights during the week.
I thought I would have put on a few pounds because of all the fair food I ate, but when I got on the scale today at the gym I found I have lost another 3.4 lbs, I credit the loss to maintaining the 4-5 small meals a day, the walks, water and no soda-pop.

While the gym was closed they did maintenance on equipment and repainted everything with brighter colors, it doesn’t look like a dungeon in there anymore.

Congrats on your loss this week. It's good to know you can still enjoy the good stuff once in a while! ...mmmmmmm..fair food.
