Hi Everyone,
If you have read my intro you know a little bit about me. I am 22, I am from South Dakota, I used to be athletic and about 150 lbs, at the begining of last week I was 213 and now I am 208.
I have tried losing the weight a couple different times in the last year or two. most of the attempts were short and extreme. Low calorie high activity periods. Most of them in the 1000 calorie a day range, and doing a spinerval video or a hard bike ride. Looking back the only way I can justify that thinking is the fact that I had been athletic in the past. It should be easy right? Those usualy lasted less than a week.
This time my approach is much different. I havent counted a calorie yet. I started eating breakfast before work, cut out soda, added water, ate a light lunch, made a nutricious supper, and maybe a snack of fat free frozen yogurt with fruit. I also started doing bike rides, not killing myself, and just walking. I have also got into geocaching, which is another way to get out and walk with a reason other that exercise.
In the last week I have lost 5 lbs, which I expect to slow down. But I feel much better, and I feel that I will be meeting my goals this time.
I will update soon... Thanks for the support and inspiration.
Jason
